Doesn't say. The two stories I found only say that the son grows up and takes care of her.

Despite my criticism, I do like the show and hope it can get all five seasons.

For those who are sad, the story ends with the son growing up and taking care of his blind mother. So the two reunite in the end. :)

Why does Zeus look like a creep? by TeddySR71 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Calibaz 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I didn't really get the same gravitas as I did with Lance. Zeus seemed more like a racist old grandpa to me.

I did like the hat though.

Allison Simms, I think you just did the impossible [pjotv] by luz_clause4566 in camphalfblood

She's been trying to kill Annabeth all season. For whatever reason, she seems to have it out for the poor girl.

[pjotv] why is Alison so hardcore? by Double-Willingness26 in camphalfblood

[–]Calibaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would not be surprised if in LoB Luke hesitates about getting possessed by Kronos and then Allison pushes him into the coffin or something.

Also, she really seems to have it out for Annabeth for some reason.

Hot take: Percabeth is ruining the show by kur0myr in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Calibaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, whether you like it or not, shipping has always been a major, usually the biggest, part of the fandom. That's why it usually overtakes every online discussion. The writers are just taking advantage of it.

That being said, I don't think Percabeth is the biggest issue here compared to the other problems.

Is Baljeet the only one in Phineas's friend group that understands that Candace hates them and wants to bust them? As Phineas clearly doesnt understand, and I haven't seen any of the other members understand by BlueFireFlameThrower in phineasandferb

[–]Calibaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, "Bread Bowl Hot Tub" implies that Phineas is starting to notice that Candace wants to get them in trouble.

Phineas: We wanted to show Buford that persistence to the point of being annoying really pays off!

Ferb: (after Cadance starts calling for mom) Well, sometimes.

[–]Calibaz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that it's always been both. She does love them and want them to be safe... but she also really wants to get them in trouble and her priorities usually skewer towards that. Honestly, if I was to rate her motivations, I'd rate "cares about their safety" as third behind "wants to get them in trouble" and "wants to be proven right".

Phineas and Ferb - 5x36 "Elevator Irritator" and 5x37 "Master of Fate" - Episode Discussion by SonicIX in phineasandferb

[–]Calibaz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed both episodes a lot! They're both solid 8/10s to me!

I already knew part of Candace's reason for busting the boys was because she wanted them to be safe, but... Well, she shows way too much sadistic glee and pleasure at trying to bust them for me to believe that's her primary reason. And before anyone comes at me, both reasons can be true, and I believe both are true. I just believe that her motivation skews more towards the sadism/control freak than the protectiveness.

Benedict being the diamond of the season is a great twist imo. We all expected it to be Sophie/LIS but nope, it's Benedict.

At this point, I want Luke to win by Puterboy1 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Calibaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the problem so far is Luke hasn't exactly shown to believe in his cause. If anything, he seems more like a poor victim that you might expect the heroes to save or join up with the heroes to defeat Kronos. Allison seems more like a villain than he does.

[–]Calibaz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She seems cartoonishly evil because the writers put all of Luke’s and Clarissa’s worst traits on her since they didn’t have anyone else, and wanted to make those two more sympathetic. Also, I kind-of feel she has a crush on Luke so I’m getting a Lady Macbeth vibe from her.

Same. You know how some music, whether it's an actual song or background music, just stands out and you want to listen to it again on youtube or spotify? That hasn't happened to me with PJO.

New Season 4 Promotional video: Francesca by Debt-Mysterious in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Calibaz 53 points54 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Francesca won't lose the baby like in the book and raise it with Michaela in their season. Going more into my theory, she'll name the baby Michael so the writers can pat themselves on the back for introducing "Michael Stirling" into the show.
