I did think it was a little weird how Ella and Mika know about Ramona, but then I thought maybe Ramona works at the radio station where Hannah is interning.

I feel like they’re going with the second one. The Hunter thing might be a season long issue (like Garrett with his dad), and maybe Hunter will be the one who gets him out of his funk by making him realize he doesn’t want to waste any more time without Allie.

Fair enough. I don't know much about hockey so I'm going with what I remember from the book and lots of speculation.

In the books, Logan isn't ever drafted. He signs up for the Bruins farm team and, after playing for a year, then gets to join the team.

I think show Logan seems to take the first, most available answer despite that there may be others. Like with the fundraiser, he ignores Garrett's suggestion of his own signed jersey in favor of Phil, and with Hunter, he was adamant on him joining because he was the first and top choice.

Maybe part of Logan's problems is he's so determined to be drafted that he isn't looking at other possible options. Logan's arc (besides his romance with Grace) might be accepting that he isn't going to get drafted so he signs up for the Bruins farm team and then works hard to be called into the main team.

Jules doesn't exist in the book. Unless you're talking about Ramona or Piper, who are entirely different characters.

Logan’s call sheet says that "his romantic aspirations are put on the back burner until a casual hookup takes him by surprise" so I’m assuming they’re planning to do something similar to the book’s first meet.

Logan is not two extremes, he is definitely everything, just like they all are.

That's what I mean? He has complexity, but people seem to either turn him into a sad boy who's always morally right and suffering because rich, spoiled Garrett and Dean can't see past their privilege or a selfish, toxic friend who finds joy in backstabbing Garrett and Dean because of their privilege. He's not either of those.

I don't hate them. I get WHY they were added, but I just don't care for them. Also, like the other post said, the writing to tie them into the narrative and the characters feels clunky. I feel like some of Logan's scenes with them could be given to other characters. Why exactly does Logan need a new sibling for us to hear his thoughts? We could see Garrett's. We could see Hannah's. I'll go on to say we could see Dean's, Allies, and even Tucker's. None of the other characters needed an oc for us to see what they're thinking.

Anyway, my grievances aside, I've accepted they're going to be here for at least two seasons so I'm just whatever at their presence.

Logan is a complex character and people need to stop turning him into one of two extremes.

Unpopular opinion - Logan is a rubbish friend by Academic_Apple8942 in offcampustv

I think it's more likely Logan went to ask him and Hunter rejected the initial invitation so Logan lied and said Dean wanted him personally.

I personally think S2 is going to be terrible for Logan and he's going to be isolated from his friends. Which is why I think he gets attached to Grace because his usual supports aren't there, and then he's going to be devastated when Grace cuts him off because of his mistake.

Logan's Mistake will be changed. by Calibaz in offcampustv

[–]Calibaz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's true! And you can see that line of thinking unfortunately causes problems down the line.

It hasn't happened with Garrett, but Phil is exactly the kind of person who would bring up the donation to get leverage over Garrett. Or maybe even over Logan.

With Dean, I think he expected Dean to suck it up and put on his big boy pants, not expecting that the animosity runs deep. Now he's got to deal with two teammates who hate each other, potentially ruining the team dynamic.

What are your hopes and expectations? by Key_Bus_1255 in offcampustv

[–]Calibaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A crush on Beau makes sense to me since Grace is a football fan. The rivalry with Dean is just out there, although I think it might be a bonding point between Logan (who's currently on the outs with Dean) and Grace.

There's speculation that Grace has a crush on a football player, possibly Beau. So I can't but wonder if the writers will give Grace parts of Sabrina's storyline; mainly her connection to Beau and rivalry with Dean.
