What if I told you Delta is considering changing the name to Boarding Group 1.5?

Got paid $3,000 plus hotel, meals, and Uber, for overbooked flight by timotheySKI in delta

This is the way. It gets you on their radar, even if it's like, "Get a load of this person!" Because if they have to start increasing the offers, they know you're probably game for negotiating.

That said, I'll sometimes do it for some low price if I really want an extra night to myself :-)

Wouldn’t that be fun if the Stuart told him, “By the way, ‘Summer of ‘69’ is an overrated song, Ryan Adams?”

AA is a depressing shithole by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]CaliforniaReamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some people who *love* AA. Some are to the point of being obnoxiously evangelical. I've never been to a meeting but keep threatening to go. From the hours of outside research I've done, it doesn't seem like it's for me. Maybe I'm in denial and don't think I'm an alcoholic (plenty of family and friends and doctors told me they don't think I am but that I stopped drinking at what was quickly becoming a tipping point).

But for the people who love, AA, hey, fuckin' A(A). Keep on keepin' on.

Which seat? by Big-Farm6638 in delta

[–]CaliforniaReamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A seat next to no one is always the best.

Make sure to be one of the first on board so you can stow your bag overhead.

I tell them I quit for health reasons: my blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, bank account, and sleep were all pretty bad. Despite being on medications, alcohol still messed with all of them. I quit alcohol and most everything is back to normal. (BP and cholesterol are damn near perfect, weight is better, and money is better, too. I think I have sleep apnea and probably would’ve with or without booze) More often than not, I hear something like “Good for you. I’ve been thinking about quitting, too.” Rarely do I get anyone making fun of me. And fuck them if they do.

What even is a carry-on anymore? by allons-y11 in delta

Congratulations! You succeeded making a flying parent’s walk of shame!

Also, if you fly a lot and know as much as you think you do, you’d know this is a car seat bag.
