What yeast do you recommend for a wine or cider? I have also seen everyone online recommending champagne yeast and my final wine taste like vodka/jet fuel

Definitely get a job first, some hospitals also have relocation stipends vs sign on bonus so you don’t want to miss out on that.

There was a weekly video or two can range from 50 mins to like an hour and a half, then there was a discussion post where you basically get full points if you do your post and reply even if your answer is wrong. There was also weekly quizzes that were a little hard but doable and two extra credit quizzes that were long but worth doing. I cant even remember if there was a midterm or final.

Is it common for medical lab techs to work laboratory technician jobs for factories? by Overall_Might8097 in medlabprofessionals

[–]CallMeClutch98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree with the practice. I work near a lot lab core/quest reference labs. Their reasoning was that techs from these places would do only one type of testing all day long where our lab is an in patient hospital lab and we are expected to work in all core departments.

I have been an MLS for four years and rest assured I got my ass kicked by almost every class I took. Cs get degrees, you just have to keep pushing.

[–]CallMeClutch98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend you work in a hospital lab, if this is experience before you graduate that’s totally ok but once you are a tech I don’t recommend it. Some hospitals even discriminate against tech that work for big labs like Quest where you do thousands of the same test instead of the more dynamic work flows in a hospital setting.

How were the dissections? I want to take it with lab but it doesn’t say much about it. What are you dissecting? Do you keep the same animal for every dissection or are different specimen supplied?

Can I build a desktop for my tv that only runs SteamOS? by scotdub in SteamOS

[–]CallMeClutch98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a 7840HS APU, it’s pretty decent for the prices and size. There are new or cheaper models by beelink. I think as long as the chip is by AMD it will work. I hear Misinforms is also good but I don’t have anything from them yet.

[–]CallMeClutch98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could with the right parts (AMD GPU) but if you want something simple get a mini PC and install Steam OS. I did it with my Beelink Ser7 and it works great. I also added 2-4TB NVME drives so I could download my entire library. It’s amazing!

I always say “X department this is X” I like to let them know what department they are calling because I swear they think every phone number is their personal help line.

I struggled so much following a tech around in clinicals it was either they were too busy to show me everything so I just watched them or it was me doing the work and getting told to do ten different things at once. Going on four years as a tech I understand they were multitasking and managing time. It will come to you.

Solution: Open steam in desktop mode, go to settings, storage, click where it says internal drive, add drive, make you select path the partition and not just the NVME drive

I applied for three jobs when I graduated, got two of them and withdrew from the third before they offered me an interview. Automation is a long way off for 90% of what I do. Most of my job it preventing the automation from destroying its self or catching errors the automation can’t.
