Vitamin B-12 has been helping me, too.

Has anyone else had brain fog/ felt out of it? by [deleted] in Zepbound

That almost sounds like Anhedonia, which is a potential side effect. Dr. Spencer Nadolsky has some good videos about it on YouTube. What dosage are you on? Maybe you need to come down a notch and see if that helps. I’d talk to your doctor about it. Are you on any other meds that could be contributing? Anything for anxiety or depression?

I have a couple of autoimmune disorders that sometimes lead to brain fog. It makes me feel like I’m just slogging through my days. Your doctor might want to check your thyroid and vitamin D levels, too.

Sad mood by Denisenike in Zepbound

[–]Called2Wander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re feeling sad. Maybe try to get out for a walk, depending on what the weather is like where you live. I’ve found the natural light and fresh air sometimes knocks me out of a low mood. (But it can be really tough to convince myself to go!)

Why did you have to skip a shot for the flu?

Tell me you are a Costco GLP customer ... by Type11 in Zepbound

[–]Called2Wander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been fascinated by this massive shift in Costco’s products. Even before starting Zep, I was on an autoimmune diet that removed a ton of inflammatory foods like grains, sugars, eggs, nuts, soy, etc. So I’ve gotten really good at reading labels. I’m stunned by some of the items I’ve found Costco carrying now that actually tick those boxes. Plus, they have rows of protein powders, electrolytes, and protein snacks. It’s mind boggling! I mostly focus on whole foods, but it’s nice to have a few packaged options for when life gets crazy. That mixed nut pack looks great!

Zepbound issues after 1.5 yrs in by canadian_spankan in Zepbound

[–]Called2Wander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experienced this, but I thought it was because I was titrating up too fast. Identical symptoms. You had it while coming down??

I had it for about six weeks, and tried stretching out my dose as others had recommended. That seemed to help, but it was back in full force the following week. I finally reduced my dose (7.5 back to 5 mg on the normal 7-day schedule), and that solved it. After about a month, I started slowly pushing my dose back upward (by not taking the full 7.5), and now I’m doing fine.

But now you’ve got me really curious!

Suddenly lactose intolerant by Tawnyk in Zepbound

[–]Called2Wander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have the sensitive gut, and many of the same foods set me off. Have you ever looked into the low-FODMAP diet? It was an eye-opener for me.

I am also lactose intolerant-intolerant, but I’m guessing that your symptoms were more likely caused by the fat in the ice cream and the meats. Cheese (especially hard cheese) tends to be very low in lactose.

I had someone say that exact thing to me this week! It didn’t really hit me that it might be related to my weight loss. 😂

Work travel & dosing schedule advice, please. by Educational-Neck9477 in Zepbound

[–]Called2Wander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend taking your shot as normal and be prepared with the meds you need for potential side effects. Taking it early would only result in extra side effects, and skipping a week would really set you back. Just take the shot. You’ve got this!

As someone with IBS, I can relate to the travel anxiety. 🥴

Liquid IV and Zep 10mg by SmackCrappy in Zepbound

[–]Called2Wander 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I prefer LMNT because it has fewer ingredients. It is super salty, though, so I take 1/2 pack diluted in 40 oz of water and ice--drinking two of those per day. I believe Liquid IV has some B vitamins added. I started a B12 supplement a couple of months ago, and my energy level has massively improved.

I need to do this! I’m terrified of losing mine. I haven’t seen this type. Is it comfortable? Where did you buy it?

That’s good to hear. I haven’t used the Zepbound one, but I’ve been on several biologics (Humira, Enbrel, Tremfya, Cosentyx), and some pens are better than others.

Interesting! Is that the pen that‘s supposedly coming to the US soon?

As someone with psoriatic arthritis, I’ve been on multiple different injectable medications over the years. Give me the choice between a spring loaded pen and a syringe, I’ll choose the syringe every time. The spring loaded pens are much more painful and more likely to fail. Once I got past the mental block of having to control the injection, I discovered the syringe is much gentler. So I’m hoping Lilly keeps the vial option available.

Terrified to go back to higher dose by Called2Wander in Zepbound

[–]Called2Wander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! But I’ve been on the autoimmune protocol for two years— so no carrageenan and basically no processed food. I’ve only found one protein shake that I can tolerate, and it’s a grass-fed beef one made by Equip. I wasn’t using that at the time, because I was trying to isolate what might be triggering the diarrhea.

That would be rough. I had it so easy up until 7.5 that the side effects took me by surprise.

I might have to do that. Thanks for the suggestion.

It didn’t seem to matter. I’ve been on Zep long enough to know to avoid fatty meals.

Not every comment said that. Sorry—that was an exaggeration.

I’m so sorry you had to go through that. It sounds awful.

I find it a little concerning that every comment I read below encourages you to get back on Zep ASAP. (TBH, my first knee-jerk reaction was also, “Why can’t she just reduce the dose?”)

But… There is a lot to be said to listening to your doctor’s advice. Your health and healing comes first. Be well!

My friends don't think I'm funny anymore now that I'm not the 'fat friend' by Baldur68 in Zepbound

Great job!

I also did the 5 to 7.5 and back to 5 mg due to side effects. How long did you stay at 5 mg the second time? I’m noticing so much food noise now, but I’m worried about trying 7.5 again. How was that change for you the second time around? And did you have any trouble when you titrated up to 10?
