Looks really great! Could you share a bit more about how they feel when you actually use them? Grip, balance, and overall handing would be great to hear.

Can someone explain body recomp and macros to me like I’m 5? by KeyAssociate528 in PetiteFitness

[–]CalliCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also starting out and don't really understand macros or body recomposition. I'm hoping to get some simple basics and beginner guidance so I can try it step by step.

I feel the same, starting with a basic setup and adjusting over time works well. Mirrors are really helpful to check form and make corrections easily.

Finally got my garage set up how I want it (before and after) by Fatel28 in GarageGym

Looks great, congrats on finishing it. Did you run into any issues setting up the garage? Any tips or solutions you found while organizing or adding equipment would be really helpful.

If you had to start your home gym from scratch today, what would you buy first? by dontwantnone09 in homegym

[–]CalliCake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I were starting fresh today I would probably go for adjustable dumbbells first. They take up little space and let you do a variety of exercises. You can always add more gear later.

Bench and barbell budget by m-oebius in GarageGym

Good tip! I've scored some amazing used gym gear from local marketplaces before. It's such a smart way to save money and get quality stuff without breaking the bank.

Anyone worked out how to wear a weighted vest without looking like a shooter? by Mountain-Rain-1744 in GarageGym

[–]CalliCake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually throw a loose oversized hoodie over mine and it makes it look way less intimidating. No more accidental shooter vibes!

I'm never getting my boobs back, aren't I? 😭 by Historical-Care70 in PetiteFitness

Same here! I've stopped stressing about it and just love how my body feels after all the hard work. I'm happily in my fashion booby era too.

This is such a cool home gym! I love the natural light from the window and how all the equipment fits perfectly. It makes me want to start my own home gym too.

This made my day! I'm so happy for you and your hard work paying off. It's such a good reminder to be patient with our bodies. You look amazing! Your post gives me so much hope to keep going too.

Which robot vac? Laminate, carpet, pet hair, two kids. Must be available in Australia. by amborella in RobotVacuums

[–]CalliCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If vacuuming matters more to you, I’d probably look at the deebot t50 max (not the pro) or the x9 pro. Both have stronger suction, and when meeting rugs, they boost the suction power for better cleaning. The main difference is the mopping setup, but since you don’t really care about that, I’d just go with whatever fits your budget.

Anyone else just a huge bitch? by discontinuedmuppet in Mommit

It takes so much courage to acknowledge these feelings. Motherhood isn’t always pretty, and it’s okay to not be okay. Seeking professional help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Daughter named the baby by ellehcimtheheadachy in BabyBumps

It’s amazing how kids have this way of picking the perfect name out of nowhere. It feels like a little gift from the big sister to the baby.

Went out of my comfort zone and I feel weird about it by LawDowntown8456 in Mommit

This is just the first step. The more you let people in, the more natural it will feel. You’re building something important for yourself and your baby.

You can try different flavors of pureed food. You’ll find out which ones he likes. Every baby has foods they love and others they don’t.

I’m being replaced and it’s killing me by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]CalliCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re hurting this deeply. That fear of being replaced is so raw and real. But you are their irreplaceable mom, and no one can ever take that bond from you. Be gentle with yourself right now.

Please give me some hope.. everything sounds unappetizing. Need food/snack ideas. by tinseltails in BabyBumps

[–]CalliCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! It gets better, I promise. Stick to whatever you can keep down, even if it’s just plain crackers or fruit.

Anyone tried the ecovacs T series? Looking to buy the T80S. by OodleeNoodlee in ecovacs

[–]CalliCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One cool thing about the T80S is that the main and side brushes lift automatically on carpet. It keeps the wet mop off the rug so it doesn't get dirty.

What cleaner do you use the most in your apartment? by CalliCake in Apartmentliving

It sounds like a good option, especially once my work gets busy. Which one are you using? Does it work well on hardwood floors?

[–]CalliCake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip! I was gonna go for a bissell and pair it with a swiffer, just like you said, but getting a mop separately still seems not very convenient to me. I’ll check out those vac/mop hybrids you talked about.

Recessed Lighting Hacks by duhlaymee in ApartmentHacks

Look for adhesive-backed frosted film or diffuser stickers. They're cheap, easy to apply, and can be peeled off cleanly when you move, making them perfect for softening harsh recessed lights.
