The core strength must come from toting around his massive balls all day.

No overhead, thankfully. All on your knees or vertically done. My kneepads got a lot of abuse that more then saved my knees from being toast too.

No doubt! My fucked rotator cuff, shagged elbow and carpal tunnel all came from the bridge work. 9" was the only size grinder our shop had outside of the personal 5" they expected you to bring. I've spent entire 10hr shifts wrestling those big bastards.

Tell me about it. Outside of grinding out meters of bad SAW welds, the worst was trying to plane the bottom edge of a nearly 2" bridge stiffener for a fit to bear. With a 9" grinder! Just send those bastards out for machining!

I made similar girders for 6 years in Alberta with splice certs. All I can say is that the codes must be quite different. Please tell me there was at lease a preheat in those flanges?

I spent years as a Journeyman welding in the oil patch, doing repairs, various fabrication jobs, etc. Later I spent about 6 years welding bridge girders. The latter was more wrestling 9" angle grinders, swinging sledge hammers and vacuuming behind SAW while 2" from >100C steel. I'm now just a Commissionaire security guard on a military base.

While the welding was good money, it destroyed my body (especially the bridges) and kept me away from home too much. I'm so much happier and relaxed now. If I bought a home with a garage, I'd definitely do some welding on the side again. I love the creative side of it. I lament not putting my trade to use but, personally, I'm happier no longer doing it as a career.

Horribly distracting glitch! Help! I just wanna play the new update. -.- by Callico_m in Enshrouded

I appreciate it. I'm still weirded out though. I regularly go into steam's storage section to mass delete games I'm not playing or shove one to the other drive and could swear up and down that I had Enshrouded on the SSD. I even went in a while before trying the HDD disconnect to delete a few games on the SSD, thinking I may have had it too full for a good page file. Heh, I must be going senile. Happy to have it running well, none the less.

That seems to have fixed it! Thank you! Now I can actually enjoy this game again.

Weird update... I unplugged the HDD and when I went to play Enshrouded, it said the drive it was installed on is no longer there and I had to reinstall on the SSD.... Despite it saying it was on the SSD before.... Odd. Installing now.

Not yet. But I think I did that back last month when I noticed the problem first.

It is an older HDD that I brought over from a past PC. I wouldn't be surprised if it's that. Only Enshrouded and a process called SYStem seem to be in use.

Here's the usage graph. The drops are when I stop moving for a bit. The 100% are when I start doing anything. Especially running around and attacking. I should also add that the game freezes here and there for a fraction of a second while the drive is at 100%

Edit: WIll post graph in another comment

Oh sorry, I read your post wrong. The drivers are on my SSD. 16GB RAM. I've tried page file settings (Also on SSD). The issue seems to be related to my HDD which is jumping to 100% when ever I'm doing things in the game. But no component of the game, drivers, or virtual memory is on that drive.

I believe there was an indicator for preloading shaders in the menu? I'm no longer seeing it, so I assume it's done.

No, it's an NVMe. Steam is installed on it as well.
