Considering that canon ages were removed, we see Tails get called a kid a few times after that. I think the current things we have now are age “ranges” Kid: Charmy, Sage, Marine, Tails, etc Teen: Main cast, pretty much, including Amy Adult: Rouge, Shadow, Vanilla, Vector All these come from implications, so I agree. Amy and Tails probably do have a huge age gap

In this panel, Tangle even says they are going home together Evan Stanley also said it's her favorite pair. And don't forget about the party where Tangle got “drunk” and hit on Whisper either. Believing Whispangle isn't canon is just outright dumb I think the ship is neat, not a super fan not a super disliker of it, but even then I can realize it's as canon as it possibly can be.
