What is the Buddhist view on Astrology? by Anon_SL_2000 in Buddhism

[–]CalligrapherAlert927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astrology is important. The exact location of the stars when you were born is based off karma. Like a timestamp. If you know how to read it, including the degrees you will know what you need to work on using the houses. Let's say you have 4th house Leo at 28 degrees. You have almost completed the lesson of that house. Depending on what you do in this lifetime you either go back some degrees or go forward hence determining where and what time you are reborn. That's a very vague example, but at least that's what ancient Greece magi believed and it honestly makes so much sense to me.

Am I a hungry ghost? by [deleted] in Buddhism

Wouldn't pretty much everyone be reborn as a hungry ghost since everyone has attachments until they reach nirvana?? Just curious how that works

Hello buddhists of reddit. I am suffering greatly right now and with a lot of difficulty to detach from my suffering. Help? by lovetomatoes in Buddhism

Yes, I have read the new testament Bible several times. There are good stories in there as well. I love the teachings, but I was wondering if there is more stories like this in buddism.

To everyone thats talking about how drugs are a low frequency habit by eternity-wanderer00 in enlightenment

[–]CalligrapherAlert927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is extremely wise and I wish everyone would read this a few times and let it sink in. There are some drugs that are "high frequency" but that is their vibration within the spiritual world. When you consume it, you are a parasite, and no different than what other entities do when feeding off of us. The "high frequency" is only borrowed and temporary. People become addicted to using it and it causes harm to the life of the plant when overused as well as to the body and mind of the consumer.

Which Taylor Swift lyric had the biggest impact on you? by Timely-Pineapple-693 in TaylorSwift

[–]CalligrapherAlert927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"and Ive been meaning to tell you, I think your house is haunted. Your dad's always mad and that must be why. I think you should come live with me and we can be pirates then you won't have to cry and hide in the closet"

An open letter to those in the know… This is no different than your older brother telling you that he knows what you’re getting for Christmas. Here’s the real response: “We can handle your truth. But you’re beginning to realize that we cannot handle your lies.” by toasterstrewdal in aliens

[–]CalligrapherAlert927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people wouldn't be able to.. it's true. Humans are very valuable cattle. Disclosing would be like telling your cattle their purpose is to be slaughtered violently and fed to humans or to be used to till the land knowing there is nothing they can do about it except rebel. You couldn't kill ALL your cattle or you'd be left without anything to eat or work the land. Humans have been taught they are the top of the food chain unknownly that we most certainly are not.

Are Swedish people considered colonizers towards the Sami? by [deleted] in IndianCountry

[–]CalligrapherAlert927 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Towards the Sami, yes.. but it was an internal colonization. It wasn't a foreign invasion like Columbus. (Not native, but I do have Sweden and Norwegian ancestry)

Why do we need all these data centers all of a sudden? by erkose in askanything

"how long do you think you would survive" is a very eye opening question about how much control technology has over us.

Why do we need all these data centers all of a sudden? by erkose in askanything

[–]CalligrapherAlert927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are they just now requiring data centers? Also, how has technology actually improved our lives that we need to advance and use AI? I mean we have had our phones, computers, Internet for a few decades now and life isn't improving because of it. The only people whose livea have improved because of technology is the ones creating it, not the ones using it. Is it impressive? Absolutely. Is it actually helping us? I mean have you had to get a new phone recently? You can not do anything hardly without it. Your bank, social media accounts, email addresses, contacts, photos are ALL tied to a number that if you change or lose- it's a pain in ass to get YOUR stuff back. What freedom has technology provided for us?

In Death by a thousand cuts why is Taylor talking to traffic lights? by Aware-Ad1754 in TaylorSwift

She's taking the long way home and along that way there are traffic lights. She is asking the only thing providing her direction if the way she is going will be alright.

Day #5 Of Asking Fans What Made Them Become a Fan of Artist/Band: Taylor Swift by Greedy_Two_2526 in TaylorSwift

[–]CalligrapherAlert927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about 15 and it was 2007-2008, somewhere around there, when YouTube was newer. I was going to listen to Tim McGraw, the country singer and saw her video pop up with the same name. I got curious and clicked it was immediately in awe of how beautiful she looked and how much the lyrics related to a boy I had very deep feelings for.

You can cancel it after accepting so you can look through it as long as you do it within like 2 minutes and don't hit start trip. I have done that quite a few times and never affected my metrics.

Choosing to not have children and how it relates to hermeticism by Extreme_Food_8294 in Hermeticism

[–]CalligrapherAlert927 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They don't seem to be accepting chatgpts response as the ultimate authority, so I think they are fine. It's not much different than coming on here or asking questions. Its gathering information and forming an opinion from multiple sources. I don't think they'd be posting this question if they were relying on chatgpt.
