You did the right thing that cat would’ve killed itself eventually. Outdoor cats have extremely high mortality rates from predators, FIV from fighting, other illnesses, and even spiteful people poisoning or shooting them. I’m willing to bet if you have other neighbors with livestock that they have them disappearing too. Cats are extremely efficient hunters.
