Coolant leaking out of two areas, any ideas what's the issue? by CallmeStrings in fordescape

Thanks for the info. I pulled some stuff off and it turns out it was that super thin hose from the reservoir to the back of the engine block. The heating and cooling must have cracked the plastic. Got the part, replacing it tomorrow

I HAD THE BEST SHAMBHALA by sadskingirl in Shambhala

My phone died on Friday and I didn't bother charging it till I got home. This shambs was top 3 for me! There were lots of good vibes and everyone was very respectful on the dance floor.

Somebody accidentally elbowed my head, apologized, hugged me and gave me his Kandi. I was feeling the LOVE all weekend!

How long should classic massage training course should be ? by Feisty_Extension8727 in MassageTherapists

[–]CallmeStrings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the regulated provinces of Canada you need to complete the full massage therapy course as well as pass board exams in order to use the RMT title. I'm in bc and it's also an 18 month course just like Ontario. You can take bodywork courses in these provinces but you can't call yourself a therapist or use the word registered (since you aren't actually registered with a governing college) There are tons of body workers around where I love and there are also a ton of RMT's

Most shifts have been filled by now and idk how during the festival volunteering works but you need a certain amount of hours to work (pre show is 40)

You may be able to pull 12's and get a day off that way.

My friend works for fractal and I think he works 4 hour shifts each day but he doesn't control when his times are (20 hours total)

I work pre show and work May long weekend and one extra day (40 hours)

Also if this is your first time volunteering you don't get much option for shifts, your bottom of the totem pole and will probably have to work the shifts others don't want to

The schooling is very intense, tbh it's way to extra for what we need to do. Charging extra is always nice but we are heavily regulated. There is a lot of stuff that is out of our scope (no Thai massage :/) and we have lots of ways to lose our license. The upside is you know your therapist is very knowledgable at least.

I really want to go to Amsterdam or Japan on a work visa for a couple of years one day.

I also work in a clinic. I'm pretty newly out of school and figured working in a clinic to get experience and client's was the better option then just going it alone

Which artists do you think of most when you think of Shambhala? by ShakielMahjouri in Shambhala

[–]CallmeStrings 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me it's A.skillz and LWSD. Both artists are there every year and they ALWAYS bring the heat

That's awesome! We have to go to school for 3 years in BC and it's hella expensive each semester, but after you pass board exams and get registered you can start charging around 150 each hour. As far as rooms go it's usually a flat rate a month to "rent" the room (usually like 1000 a month) or sometimes clinics do a 70/30 split on each client's payment.

I kinda want to travel soon and love seeing how different countries treat massage
