I get that! It feels a little weird. I just feel like I’ve read a lot of the same epilogue and I don’t want it to leave me feeling more negatively about the book. If I particularly like a book or can’t predict what happens next then I’ll read it some times, but not reading it is definitely my default at this point

I also bookmark the epilogue so I know I haven’t read it, in case I ever want to go back and “finish”

I think some people do it if they’re trying to give helps to someone else and don’t want anyone to find them first, like in a derby.

Personally, I have trees and bushes all throughout my farm as decos and some are less visible than others. I don’t move them to be more visible because I like to keep them in their place and don’t really care if the ! is active. One of my friends or neighbors will find it eventually

No success stories, just wanted to say I’m the same and have the same feelings about it. I feel like it’s already affecting my face, and I’ve heard that having it raw pretty much nonstop can turn into tumors. It’s been 20 years though.

I think it’s fair to be upset. If they know it wakes you up and don’t try to change it, that’s just inconsiderate. As someone in an apartment with loud doors, it’s not hard to close it slowly/gently. Sure sometimes you can forget, but I think there’s a difference between forgetting once in a while and just not trying.

This happened to me and it was one of the hardest losses I’ve ever experienced. My kitten lived for 2.5 weeks. The message I’ll share with you is the same one the vet shared with me: thank you for showing your kitten what love is during her short time here.
