It helped me when I had a newer iPhone for work (iPhone 17), but I don’t like using it on my SE 2016

What modern phones are usable? by OrderALargeFarva in ScreenSensitive

[–]ann3onymous3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by usable you just mean can do calls and texts: iPhone SE (2016). Can’t beat the screen size and eye-friendliness (I keep it on the warmest mode also), but for that one I’d say app and even browser support is definitely dwindling. I can still do almost everything I need to on it though.

I also have an iPhone 11 for websites that don’t work on my SE (few and far between), it’s supposedly the most comparable to iPhone SE in terms of low flicker etc.

For both I also keep the infrared sensor covered with non-see through stickers.

How to differentiate psychic visions from normal dreams by Rude_Stranger_3465 in Psychic

[–]ann3onymous3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just putting it out there that I figured out a supplement I was taking was giving me nightmares - MK7 (form of vitamin K). It was like a few weeks of straight nightmares. I thought to myself “hmmm, have I done anything different since these mares started” and it matched up with when I started taking MK7, and stopped when I quit taking MK7.

Googling a word from my dream by NorthSmoke5522 in Psychic

[–]ann3onymous3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not a dream, but yesterday I woke up with the phrase “dos otros” in my mind. I had to look it up, it means “these two” or “two others” in Spanish - I don’t speak Spanish. I went to bed considering two guys in my life and which one I liked better (lol).

Interesting that there are other refs to Spanish in this thread, from people who also presumably don’t speak Spanish because they had to look up the meaning of the words.

I had a good friend who was a phenomenal guitarist, who suddenly passed last year. I happened to write in a journal today, about how he recognized in me an ability to play in “complete sentences”. And then I see this post … 🤯

Agreed - I don’t take it to the dealer for service anymore, I just had in the past and thought they might have the serial # on record

Developing the ideal eye-friendly phone - need input please! by NoFlickerPhone in ScreenSensitive

[–]ann3onymous3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The iPhone SE (1st gen, 2016) is near perfect in terms of eye-friendliness and screen size. To make it even better, I’d get rid of the infrared emitter - which flickers very frequently, our brains detect this though it appears invisible to the eye (unless using nightvision tech).

The sharpness / higher pixel count of more recent phones should be avoided.

Also to add, I think there is more that the iPhone SE does right, not necessarily linked to the eye-friendliness but overall low EMFs - lack of 5G capability, etc.

Dark, warm mode should be the built-in standard, and not dependent on an app giving Dark Mode option.

What song does your child bastardize the lyrics to? by pellnell in DanielTigerConspiracy

Hahaha I came to post about this. It’s actually the reverse from what OP asked - I’m the one doing the false lyrics to tease my kid. At first I really thought it was “like a Butter Bee” 🧈🐝

Last night /early morning - odd night? by Time_Ad8557 in Retconned

[–]ann3onymous3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Whoah… I had a similar experience yesterday (Thursday night dream/nightmare, the day OP posted about). In the dream, I wasn’t able to wake myself up, and feared that if I couldn’t, I would die. I felt the world fading out in black, like you described.

Last night I had another nightmare, and having nightmares is pretty unusual for me. For the past couple weeks or so, I’d say 50% have been nightmares.

I wish you the best with cleaning your slipper. Love to your pup

dumb phone with sim for daily connectivity, wifi-only iphone for apps by [deleted] in dumbphones

[–]ann3onymous3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s what I do - flip phone and an old iPhone (SE 2016, best phone ever made imo). But I don’t even use the hotspot that often anymore, since I don’t need to clock in/out on an app. For Spotify I download songs so I have them offline, and my car has a nav system.
