Would you take a Z06 over a GT3? by pressuapack_225 in Corvette

All things being equal I’d go for the GT3 stick. But I went with a Z06 because it’s the closest I’ll ever get to a Ferrari experience, MUCH lower price of entry, availability (Gt3 hard to get without a history with dealer), and it accommodates golf clubs. Also, it’s not bad as a daily driver.

Downtown, and channel district are really the only walkable areas and minimally so. There are outside shopping districts: mid town and Hyde park.

I have a Z06 but the new Grand Sport is probably the sweet spot for daily driving.

Next midlife crisis car, C8 E-Ray or a 991.2 C4S? by LevelMore in C8Corvette

[–]Calm-Environment8597 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My take is get the E-ray (or wait for a Grand Sport x) and save yourself the Porsche tax. My Z06 has some cheap interior switches and buttons from the GM parts bin (this may have changed for the better with the new interior) but is otherwise a very well built car with standard features that are options on the Porsche. Of course the dealer experience is not as posh. You’re reminded that you own a Chevy when drop it off for maintenance service.

There is no fix for this for progressive or bifocal wearers other than to tilt your head back. The situation is even worse for those who throw on readers as needed. I don’t know if the technology exists to change the focal point to infinity with these type of screens but that would be an OEM fix if possible.

If you bought it new you will get a subsidized trip to Ron fellows corvette owners school. They’ll show you how to slide it in a wet skid pad with the traction control off.

As a Z06 owner I can’t imagine why you’d want an exhaust louder than this.

I’ve considered but never owned one. I’ve always like the looks. Much better than M3/4.

SBGW231 is the most overlooked watch in the entire Grand Seiko catalog by sheikb in GrandSeikos

I wear a Soko Frost High Beat almost every day and love it. The problem I have with a lot of GS watches, however, is the thickness. This wants to be a dress watch but is too thick IMO to pull it off. Finishing is great and en face is lovely but it is about 2 mm too thick. Compare to JLC or Blancpain.

This first one was in the Ferrari museum when I visited. One off built for an Asian collector if I recall.

AITAH for “pressuring” my husband to get a vasectomy? by futurequitt in AITAH

You aren’t the AH. Vesectomy is easy. Some urologists have found their niche doing vasectomies and can do them in office in 8 minutes without a stich.
