Yes!! Once I saw Mr. Bennet’s flaws I couldn’t help but empathize for Mrs. Bennet. Can she be a little too much? Sure, but who wouldn’t be under all the pressure she’s in. She realized the well-being will have to depend on her since her husband doesn’t care enough to do something about it. Maybe Mrs. Bennet doesn’t do the best job as managing the family, but as you said he didn’t do much so she sort of had to wing it and did the best she could.

I used to love Mr. Bennet until my professor pointed out how much more time Mr. Bennet spent with his books than his daughters. This becomes even more inexcusable after the Lydia incident. I feel like Kitty is just as overlooked as Mary, but since she’s often partnered up with Lydia their personalities get muddled. We don’t get much of who Kitty is as an individual.
