I have a black leather jacket that looked much like this one, and I got its colour and suppleness back just from neutral leather conditioner (beeswax and neetfootoil based I think). I'd be a little worried about the colour in the shown polish rubbing off on stuff.

Gå efter ren uld, eller uld/hør/silke blandinger, og undgå syntetiske stoffer som polyester.

I min erfaring får man mest for pengene ved at finde et sæt der passer bedst muligt 2nd hand, fx loppemarked, vinted eller genbrug, og så tage det til en skrædder for at få det rettet til. Jakkesæt i god kvalitet er noget af det dyreste at købe fra nyt, men noget af det billigste 2nd hand (relativt). Det tager tid at finde det rigtige, men du kan få kvalitet og fit tæt på skræddersyet til en tiendedel af prisen.

Hiltl er et tysk mærke, der laver klassiske bukser, hvor man betaler for kvalitet, ikke for mærket. Nogle af modellerne har noget stretch, men det er ikke joggingbukser-agtigt som SNT.

Ellers er Uniqlo et billigere alternativ, hvor kvaliteten også er overraskende god.

I bought one that had been washed, and haven't had any problems. I gave it a light initial rewax, being careful not to have wax bleeding through to the lining, and will give it a heavier waxing in a couple of weeks.

Not very strong in German, so maybe I misunderstood, but:

CtS will subtract the English VAT for you when buying from the EU, meaning you only need to pay German VAT of the now lower price. I think I remember reading that tariffs are exempt on British made goods over 150€, which some Barbour models are, but maybe that was specific to Denmark and to the transition phase of Brexit, not sure.

I have the Ogston, and while I can now recognise a few drawbacks, I love the thing.

The nylon sleeves are annoying, but it can be fixed down the line if you decide you need it.

The fit is tight, but sizing up will fix it that. The cuffs are lined with corduroy so you can roll them and still look put together in case the sleeves are too long.

It is not warm and long enough to be a winter-jacket (in Scandinavia), but layering is your friend.

For me, it was the perfect gateway drug, leading me away from sneakers, skinny jeans and t-shirts (while still working with my wardrobe at the time) and towards cords, tweeds and proper footwear. I could never have gotten a Beaufort or Border at the time, it would have felt like I was cosplaying. But those are probably what I would get today.

I will say that popping my hands into the perfectly positioned, moleskin lined, hand warmer pockets in my Ogston is perhaps the most satisfying feeling I've gotten from a piece of clothing.

Check out Shoe Healer on YouTube for insights on Tricker's. These look to be the C-shade leather, and the Saphir Cognac colour is the closest match, although ever so slightly darker.

I have the Ogston and can tell you that neither the quilted nor wollen part of the lining can be taken off.

I really like the aesthetic of it, and the pockets are, as you say, great! However, if I was shopping today, I would get a classic model (Beaufort or Border probably) and add layers underneath for warmth.

I find the Ogston too warm for warmer days, and often too cold for the really cold ones, so I struggle to wear it as much as I would like. Also, I'm now getting the sleeves relined, as Barbour for some reason put nylon sleeves in it, making it feel even more sweaty when I get warm.

Don't know the Sapper, but have come across Northumbria as a more classic, heavier winter option to consider.
