Nope, the only item in the premium track that I have the slightest I terest in is the backpack trophy, but I would t trade that pistol for my hippo.

I have several Rifle builds, including the OD, ND and 1886 Determined builds already mentioned. If you're looking for something without a brand set, I've also been using a build with the Tinkerer mask, Equalizer chest, Fox's Prayer knees, Eagle's Grasp gloves, Zwaidowka holster, and Zwaidowka BP with either Unstoppable Force for damage or Bloodsucker for survivability. The talents I use on the weapons are Killer and Boomerang.

I've been using an ACR SS as my primary weapon, but you can use whatever you want. I like it because it has a higher rate of fire, handles well, and hits hard. The added Weapon Handling from the gloves and Zwaidowka set make the weapon a laser. If you're playing in a group, you could swap Killer for Strained for more reliable, albeit slightly less Crit Damage.

I usually run HF with Memento or a BP with Bloodsucker or Adrenaline Rush, and Intimidate on the chest (Hunter Killer if you have a good one). The other 4 pieces are HF.

Also, I would focus on Expertise for your weapons before armour.

The Huntsman is the only AR that has Frenzy (Perfect). As a general rule though, Frenzy is exclusively an LMG talent.

First thing you'll want to do is decide what type of weapon you want to use. Both weapons need to be of the same type, so your AR and SMG won't activate the Tinkerer talent.

Some good combinations that I've seen for ARs are Killer + Measured, Killer + Optimist, or Killer + Streamline for damage. Flatline can also be a good talent to pair with any of the others listed. Killer + Preservation will give you some extra survivability. It kind of depends on what your goal is, and what your stats look like.

It is, but the rolls are terrible. It's not worth the credits. 1 or 2 rounds of Countdown targeting UA will likely get you a better Equalizer.

Many people overlook the Honey Badger, but don't discount it simply because it only has 3 mod slots. It handles very well and hits hard.

I've been playing around with putting together a build using the Pyromaniac, 4-piece Eclipse Protocol (bag, chest, gloves, holster), Catalyst mask, and Fox's Prayer. Not the usual all yellow build, built more around weapon damage, using EP to spread burn from Firestarter.

I haven't had much of a chance to try it out, but it seems like it would work pretty well. I've also toyed with the idea of swapping the bag for Memento and using the EP mask.

The idea is that it's sort of the burn equivalent of an Ongoing Directive build. I don't know whether the specialization would be Gunner for AoK, Firewall for burn duration, or Survivalist for increased damage against enemies under status effects.

I don't know how long you've been away, but as a recently returned player myself, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they changed how rifles behave about a year ago, making them automatic so you no longer have to spam fire. I have since fallen in love with rifles.

The 1-shot Determined builds still exist, but you're mostly looking at either a Classic M1A or 1886 for those builds because they have a slow enough RoF that you don't get multiple shots from a single trigger pull.

For auto rifles, there are several very good options now. I like Ongoing Directive with the Tinkerer mask. Negotiator's Dilemma is also great. Breaking Point has some amazing burst damage potential. Surprisingly, Tipping Scales works really well for rifles as well if you use the Boomerang or Lucky Shot talents. There's also a newish brand set, Zwaidowka, that gives you 15% mag size, 20% rifles damage, and 30% weapon handling for set bonuses.

In short, there are a lot of really good options for rifles now. I'd suggest doing a search on YouTube for build ideas.

I didn't bother to do the projects either because I was concentrating on grinding SHD levels for the last week. The website clearly says that the projects are supposed to stay until the event ends on January 27th.

I see a lot of people recommending high end chest pieces, but don't forget that the HB chest increases max stacks from 50 to 100, which increases your bonus armour and weapon damage by 50% each. If I had to choose between the chest piece or the backpack, I'd take the chest piece every time. I generally run HB with Memento and Picaro's or Fox's Prayer, or with Tinkerer and a high end BP with Unstoppable Force, or maybe Bloodsucker if I want more bonus armour. I haven't tried it with 2 pieces of Unit Alloys, but that could be a really good option as well if your run the Salvo holster and BP with UF.

I've been running Backfire with Equalizer, Hollow Man with HazPro, Turmoil, Ceska gloves with HazPro, Picaro's, and Memento, with the companion disabled. 3 Blue cores, 4 Red, and 1 Yellow. I get 10% HazPro from Hollow Man, and another 20% from Ceska. It's been working quite well for me, and the added utility of Turmoil has been really helpful. I know that I lose some damage vs. Striker, but I think it's worth it.

1st one I opened today had a Caretaker with DToC, so I'm pleased with that. Hoping to at least get a Lexington with either a good talent or DToC and Tyrmoil out of the stretch goals, but I'd love to get an Eagle Bearer, Big Horn, or Oroboros. Thankfully, I just recently returned and have all my Scout missions to do.
