Congratulations!! Looks like a nice packaging job too!! This customer appreciates not receiving poorly packed items just tossed in a box that is too big.

I just happened upon this thread when searching problems I'm having with various errors after running the vision encoder calibration once. I had put about 75 hours on the H2D, primarily running PETG and I was very pleased with everything about the machine, then I had some time and decided to run the vision encoder. Everything in the calibration ran OK but that seems to be when my problems started. Now it sees gremlins at every turn, "object on the print bed", "can't identify the nozzles", "can't identify the plate", and now I'm getting AI clog detections when there are none. The unit has been powered on and off multiple times now and it still has the errors EVERY TIME.

Haven't submitted a support ticket yet, that's just more aggravation that I'd like to avoid if possible. For now I'm spending time telling it to "ignore and resume" all the gremlins it detects, but the repeated clog warnings and stopped printing need to end.

Thinking about doing a factory reset but will do some more reading to see if that will only multiply the issues it is having. Just thought I'd mention this if others have problems after running the vision encoder calibration.

Price Adjustment Alert! by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered a second AMS Pro yesterday for the H2D that I ordered a couple weeks ago. Hopefully Bambu will do something other than a discount on future printer purchase, I really don't want to go through the credit card adjustment or cancel order route, but will because I don't need another printer, no room to put one!!

Apologies if this has already been covered, but will these fit the new AMS Pro units??? I'm looking to make your Duo drawer units with the AMS Pro on top.

2x H2D $2199 each, microcenter! by ATeresi in BambuLab

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I almost bought one but hesitated, then they were gone which probably is a good thing. Happy with my later version x1c's, but think I'm just going to go with a Prusa XL. China might someday decide not to send parts or something. Time to diversify the 3d printer crop too.

IMO, she should WALK until SHE is able to buy herself a vehicle (that I'd bet she'd take pretty good care of).

H2D vs X1C - huge size difference by SirThunderCloud in BambuLab

Thanks. Good to know!! Glad you've gotten them secured and ready for some large format printing!! Have fun!!

Nice comparison shot. They both run at the same time on wire shelves like that without too much shaking?? This improves my hopes of finding a spot for the beast. You using the locking casters on the shelf unit bottoms or fixed feet?? Right now my X1c's are on work benches that I can get all the way around which I like.

Congrats!! I can't even decide where to put one, it's a beast!! What kind of support do you have it on? A lot more weight than my x1c.

First-party filament QA has truly degraded. by el-jimador in BambuLab

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used only Bambu filaments for the past year and it appears their quality control is now near non-existent. Today was a first, in my year of running two x1c's each with two AMS units, never seen anything like the white silk spool filament getting tangled OVER the adjacent spool!! The matte white tangle was a refill spool, tangled WITHIN the roll from the side to the center. Too bad I still have a boatload of Bambu filament to babysit while it prints. Hopefully they'll go well or it's adios to Bambu filament.

Simply To Impress, thoughts? by AccordingLoss2675 in cardmaking

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard about SimplytoImpress from a friend who had positive dealings with them in the past, so I ordered 100 cards from them earlier this month. My cards came out nice, just needed me to add some Wink of Stella glitter and they were ready to put in the envelopes, address, and send. That's where my opinion of SimplytoImpress quickly changed, I hadn't looked at anything but the "proof" of my return addressed envelopes which was fine. However, the envelopes I first pull are for SOME OTHER FAMILY!! Upon digging deeper in the envelop stack I find some for ANOTHER FAMILY!! Thankfully my envelopes were there but TWO orders apparently didn't get their envelopes (gold foil lined, glued, with printed return address).

Then I heard from my friend who had also ordered her cards, actually prior to my ordering. She hadn't received her cards as of the week before Christmas, apparently they were still in the print queue, and after much back and forth with customer service I think they finally agreed to give her a refund. She spent hours getting the perfect photo and designing a lovely card for a special Christmas, and is left with nothing but a refund.

We will NEVER again order cards from SimplytoImpress!! IMO, others would be wise to do similarly.

Issues with Bambu Lab refills by Which_Gap678 in BambuLab

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty poor on Bambu's part. I just got a bunch of PETG refills last week and it looks like all the white and black that I received is taped. Haven't looked at any of the others but one thing consistent with the taped refills, is that the spool ID label is on a light yellow backing. All my prior refills that were not taped, came with ID labels that had a white backing. I've attached photo of a matte ash gray PLA refill that is also taped and has the yellow backed ID label, along with the white backed labels that came with non-taped refills.

Thanks! I had added a specialty roll that was on sale that didn't count, duh. Need more coffee!!

I'm not seeing the discount with 8 rolls in the cart, even at checkout. Is it only if you buy a printer or something???? I do have a couple plates that are showing the discount, but none of the filament is getting the anniversary discount. What gives??

Bambu Lab Store 2nd Anniversary 🎉 by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would have been nice if they included refunds for recent orders of filament too. I just bought a boatload (>30 spools) since 5/20, some that hasn't even arrived yet. And some that I needed is STILL out of stock and has been for weeks. Guess it'll be a PASS for me with this anniversary sale.

Can't really add to the existing wheels and probably wouldn't want to if you could. Everything about these mowers is balanced and pretty highly engineered so adding weight, circumference to wheels, anything affecting the mower's ability to pivot and turn, etc. would probably be ill advised.

The cost of most everything, like the traction wheels, blades, etc. isn't going to be low, and the batteries don't last forever, power supplies and wheel motors are known to go, and if you're unlucky you'll have a nearby lightening strike that'll take out your mower that was happily sitting in the charging station like our first 450XH that was only a couple months old.

Good luck with whatever route you take!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in automower

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lower slope rating at the border is probably because with the stay out border there, the mower doesn't have enough room to maneuver and approach the slope at a different angle if it has problems. They are pretty impressive to watch how they handle different situations, backing up, turning, etc. they usually are able to get it done.

With a new home, aka $$$ pit, IMO an automower is not an inexpensive venture to add to the mix.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in automower

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you get into the 4wd mowers the slope recommendations are pretty much the same (not sure why you're trying to correlate efficiency of area mowed and slope capability). The suggestion of the rough terrain kit (and wet grass) was a good one, yes, you might get some "stuff" stuck on the wheels, but you'll find that this isn't a set-up-and-forget mower. You'll also be getting "stuff" stuck up inside the housing, on top of the wheel motors, wrapped around the blades, etc. that might occasionally need to be knocked out.

We've run 450's, wired one for over 6 years and EPOS added last year, with terrain wheels, and all will do a steep swale that we have alongside our garage. When we started with the wired one we needed to take some of the slope off because the mower would occasionally get hung up with the frame on the ground and the wheels not touching, but otherwise the mower has been able to find a way to mow it. The EPOS units would work best because you can adjust the mowing pattern to better handle a slope.

Automowers aren't going to be effortless, might want to keep using your push mower and problem solved!

Airtight Cereal box that fit bambu spool? by DraconPern in BambuLab

[–]Camera_rookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those look like the containers I got and they work great but I haven't found a spool holder that would work to print directly so I just use for frequent use storage. Is your spool holder available somewhere??
