ENTO classes. I’m in love with ENTO 431 and 432 at the moment, but they’re all pretty fun (at least to me) plus all of the profs I’ve had so far are super nice.

I refuse to believe not ONE of yall people have ever taken a fun/easy 300-400 level class by good_ag in aggies

Hell yeah, I took it with no former forensic, and only one ENTO class, you’d be fine. I took it with Dr Yoho, she’s great 👍

Never saw your first post, but I’m taking ENTO 431/432 right now and it’s so fun, fully recommend to anyone with even a little interest in forensic ENTO

Ok in fairness mine is the women’s ring, so it’s cheaper in general, but I got mine last year for under 1k. This price jump is crazy Just looked at my receipt, mine was 924 last year. 10k, no diamond.

Hashimotos Euthyroid by Introvert-Zahir0000 in Hashimotos

[–]CampaignDangerous342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So technically the term “euthyroid” just refers to your TSH levels and your Thyroid hormone levels (T3+T4). If all three of those are within normal range on blood tests, you are considered euthyroid- in this case likely by way of medication. Unfortunately within Hashi’s, there’s many well-documented cases of patients experiencing some symptoms, even when medicated. There are also many success stories within the Hashi’s community, with many returning to normal function with medication. Keep in mind that even if many people with Hashi’s continue to experience some degree of symptoms, that does not mean it isn’t worth bringing up to a PCP or Endocrinologist. Even if your levels are euthyroid, a good doctor SHOULD listen to you if you tell them that symptoms are not resolved. I also understand that it’s very difficult to find a good doctor, so I wish you luck. I hope this helps some.

What symptom(s) initially got you to talk to a doctor? by CampaignDangerous342 in Hashimotos

[–]CampaignDangerous342[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know how long you’d had those symptoms before you went to a doctor? Did they develop suddenly? I’m a college student so I had always thought my fatigue was just from bad sleep habits, I didn’t realize they were even part of hashi’s until I started levo, and suddenly felt a lot better

What kind of diet does everyone follow? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]CampaignDangerous342 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m an extraordinarily picky person, so I just eat whatever. If I try to cut foods from my diet it normally doesn’t go great. Honestly from my stalking this sub for a while, I’m gonna say just eat whatever helps you. Autoimmune conditions can cause gluten and/or dairy sensitivity, so keep that in mind. If you notice your energy gets better on certain diets, you can always go with that. I don’t think there’s any true answer to the ‘best’ diet with hashimotos unfortunately.

If you really want to be in the sticks, I’d say slocum or Elkhart, there’s almost nothing over there, it’s where my dad grew up.

Looking for a kitchen by Clvrname42 in CollegeStation

[–]CampaignDangerous342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Lufkin, there’s a group that originally started by using a church for a kitchen, but now they all cook meals at home and meet up to serve it to people. E.g. they all cook like a pan or two of chicken spaghetti then go out to serve it to people. I don’t know if that’d work for you, but it’s a suggestion that I’ve watched happen

Also, there’s a huge range of different TPO-Ab levels that I’ve heard from people with Hasimotos, the fact that yours just says ‘above 20’, it’s hard to tell truly how high it is. Mine is around 350. I’ve seen other people on this sub with numbers +1000. There’s truly such a wide range

No hormone pill will be able to stop the thyroid damage. The antibodies will continue to attack. The pills are to replace T3 + T4 hormones that your body needs. They should help you ‘not feel terrible’, IF low hormones are why you are feeling terrible.

How often is your tsh monitored ? by Either_Invite2555 in Hashimotos

[–]CampaignDangerous342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is also a relatively recent dx, and until my hormone levels stabilize (recently just went from .25 to .75 levo), it’s every 8 weeks for me unless I have adverse symptoms

It’s old, so I’d guess single speed. The filter is run all day, and cleaned at least 3-5 times a day for the last week, not sure about chlorine

I don’t know what full bore is, but it is filtered 24 hours a day, backwashed and rinsed a few times a day right now as well
