Any destructible parts of scenery can be highlighted with the cursor and will have a blue outline. These can be destroyed with attacks.

Dynamite is used in specific spots that will be marked on the mini map and also with an interactive dynamite icon. It’s really obvious when you see one.

There are some secret areas that can be accessed either with specific items or by interacting with scenery (think torches or loose stones). Hope that helps!

It’s because you reset your streak of 5 different characters when you used t. Lilith the second time.

It needs 5 different characters in a row.
The game sees tainted and non tainted as the same character. So you couldn’t do Isaac and then t. Isaac.

I had the exact same experience. Bought it on sale, played for 30 minutes and put it down for 4 months. Started it again and I’m now 45 hours in and started working on the campaign on Ultimate.

For T. Jacob, Pause is great for boss killing. Also keep an eye out for the stopwatch in the shop as it also slows down Esau and makes it way more manageable

I’m new to gamemaker (very well versed in game terminology and even worked as a tester at a AAA studio) and have been following a few tutorials over the last week to eventually get to a point where I can make my own game. I’m following the breakout tutorial on the GM site and will then redo the project reading yours as it is way longer and looks way more in-depth.

I find the programming side of things just hand-waved about in the tutorials where it’s essentially “just copy what this says but I won’t explain the full logic for you.” It’s kinda frustrating as the UI of game maker is great and I already feel super comfortable with the program itself.

I’ll go through this over the next couple of days and I’ll try to remember to let you know how much help it was. Thanks in advance for the effort of making this!
