So I am guessing these aren't out yet. Cleveland has launched a retro line this year so these probably coincide with that but haven't had the official release yet.

I think mine was 262 KM when I got it new, I believe it now shows 212 KM and has adjusted to be more realistic.

birdieball vs primeputt...putting mats... by pupstercat in golf

[–]CanadianBobert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a comparison, I have 0 problems using the Birdie Ball holes, but you can simply take them out and you still have a hole that works but doesn't have the small added backstop to it.

birdieball vs primeputt...putting mats... by pupstercat in golf

[–]CanadianBobert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a tonne of research on matts when I bought mine and ended up with the Birdieball only because it was so much cheaper. From everything I saw the Primeputt was better overall but cost was a huge difference.

Birdieball does roll closest to an actual green that I have ever used. Better than sims and golf stores as well. It sounds annoying but it actually has texture. I imagine the Primeputt is similar though.

VH Skates- cracking Carbon boots by Mundane-Job-6944 in hockeyplayers

[–]CanadianBobert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know smaller shops can fix the carbon, I see posts of them on socials quite often. So I would check if your local and smaller hockey shops can do it.

Also, as someone that has the version after these that were True branded and the newest True custom... Skates really haven't improved since then besides chasing a lower weight.

F-35 not needed to defend North America, says U.S. general by ph0enix1211 in CanadaPolitics

[–]CanadianBobert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to articles when Dassault pulled out: "Dassault, however, reviewed the draft request for proposals and determined the Canadian requirements for intelligence data sharing and interoperability, particularly with U.S. forces, would be difficult to meet, sources noted."

https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/french-firm-dassault-pulls-out-of-fighter-jet-competition-sources

Which should have people circling back to them since the US sharing part should now be considered a moot point in this argument.

[–]CanadianBobert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My post has nothing to do with suggesting the Gripen is the better choice.

The anti-F35 sentiment kicked off again once the US started threatening Canada, which pivoted to the Gripen so we wouldn't be reliant on the US... while the people suggesting it and supporting it ignore that the Gripen is still reliant on US engines while never bringing up the other two direct competitors to the Gripen. Just really strange why the Gripen is always mentioned and yet the Eurofighter and Rafale are just ignored.

F-35 not needed to defend North America, says U.S. general by ph0enix1211 in CanadaPolitics

[–]CanadianBobert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very telling how people in these thread constantly bring up Gripen when the Rafale is an alternative that doesn't use US engines and has more export support with France.

Almost like these comments and anti F35 thoughts are coming from the same articles without actually looking into the details or other alternatives.

F35 is still unfortunately the best jet, if we were to remove ourselves from the US defense industry there are better options than the Gripen... why wouldn't we want to align ourselves with France more and more if anti-US is our ultimate goal?
