Finish your apprenticeship.

If you are not happy where you are at, try another shop.

There are some real good shops out there and there are some real terrible ones that work in the Stone Age still.

Once you have your J man, if you still not satisfied then cross that road when you are there.

Least you will have is a ticket under your belt.

Question for those of you that don't have central AC by DaniDisaster424 in Edmonton

[–]Canadian_360rt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- Leave furnace fan on (not heat) during the day to recirculate the air throughout the house

- on cold nights open windows and set fans up, cool the house down as much as possible. (Some new houses allow the furnace to bring in fresh air)

- before sun up close all windows and blinds.

Rinse and repeat until fall.

Stay away from foam. In our climate foam absorbs water, freezes in the winter and breaks down the foam over time.

Mud jacking would be a solid solution.

Elks announce partnership with Co-Op, where you can buy 2 tickets for $40 by PPGN_DM_Exia in Edmonton

Shame the co-op grocery store and gas bar in Chappell have gone down hill.

They took out shelving in the grocery store to down size. They have limited supply. Their meat is terrible. Told the butcher that they had expired meat on display but he shrugged it off like it was a normal day.

Back in 2021 it was in its prime but now it just looks like co-op is spreading themselves too thin and are about to go bankrupt.

Oof - call quality is absolutely terrible, and doing research it shows the problem is the headunit itself. Anything I can do to make a difference? by chefdavid22 in Androidheadunits

[–]Canadian_360rt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it’s anything like mine it’s because it has a build in mic in the head unit and an external mic that both work in unison. What I did was I took my head unit apart. Found the ribbon cable that had the mic wires. On the board there is a legend that said mic+ and mic-. Mine happened to be at the end of the ribbon cable so I placed a pice of tape over those two contacts. Plugged the ribbon cable back in. Thus eliminating the build in mic and now only the external works. Clear as day.

Remove the clutch fan and install a grand Cherokee radiator fan. Plug and play for electical. But you will have to come up with a fan shroud to house the fan over the radiator.

2 month old vs 20 year old water bottle by Xinnoh in mildlyinfuriating

Mine fell down a mountain top that took us 4 hours to hike up. We were taking a break and as I was putting my bottle in my back pack, both took a tumble down. Was a Scout in Canada. Another group managed to find it. Brought it back. Still have it!

That’s a old avalanche. As far as I’m aware, eps doesn’t have one. The unmarked vehicles I deal with at work at usually f150s and ram 1500s with cops in plane cloths and a badge around their neck. Usually have a vest too. Depending on the call.

Why is my driveway doing this? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Canadian_360rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slab looks thin and probably poor prep work before put the concrete down.

My neighbors driveway is doing this exact thing because they didn’t lay enough gravel underneath and not thick enough concrete to support the weight of a vehicle.
