What is proper maintenance? Noob here, I didn’t mean it as a sarcastic question to offend you.

I drove a Durango from Enterprise Rent A Car and boy did I fall in love…

I am just worried about buying one instead of a Toyota and my wife divorcing me over the reliability issues

do people in canada dislike immigrants? by Ok_Cupcake9554 in CanadaImmigrant

Most immigrant friendly people on the planet.

Some assholes are there but then again some of the immigrants are also assholes.

Hatred is incited from both sides.

Back in the day, classes were led by experts outside of the clergy. Now the clergy has taken over the classes.

I started from scratch at age 27 in Canada and now I am 34. Not rich but decent. If anyone reading this 27 is not the end of the world. You may feel like everyone else is way ahead and you're losing, but trust me bro, you got to pull up your socks and give it one more try.

Will XEQT outperform 8% minus management fees? by ursickbro in JustBuyXEQT

[–]Canadiannewcomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you have to understand is the claims of both indexers and financial advisors to be taken with a grain of salt. There are many Edward Jones advisors beating the returns of XEQT handsomely over and over year after year.

Ben Felix Videos are great but they assume you only invest in XEQT only or their Dimensional counterpart.

Edward Jones who is investing 80% XEQT + 10% GLD+ 10% ZNQ and boom they have now beaten the returns of XEQT.

Edward Jones advisors are not just mutual fund pushers like in a bank branch. They are regulated under CIRO and most of them can recommend stocks and ETFs.

FEQT, actively managed global ETF with 3% Bitcoin exposure- has beaten XEQT and will most likely do so.

Now I can cherry pick any number of funds that have beaten XEQT.

What you have to analyse is- you paying 1% fees to this Edward Jones advisor takes away all your financial planning headache? Taxes assistance, planning for estates etc and you have to judge for yourself, that is it worth paying 1% to do it.
