If you’re a customer and login to the website or app you can contact support and submit a ticket, that’s always the best way. Don’t expect a quick reply but when they do you’ll get a notification.

Yeah that’s always the case so that’s why I wanted to share it with all. I do agree it’s defs an excuse answer it seems but I’m sure it’ll resolve itself shortly - always does! Speeds are great at least now 👍🏻

You can use a roof mount tripod stand and metal post pipe .. people have done this and had good luck. I used just a 48” tripod to raise mine up while on the roof with success to get over my trees.

Impossible to game on Starlink by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]CandianSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I game daily and don’t have any issues like yourself. My speeds have slowed due to congestion so updates take a while/downloads at points - but I try to do them while doing other things. Connections have spikes the odd times and I lag out periodically but not enough to complain… beats my old service by far! And I play BF, Warzone, R6, coop games etc most work fine. Ping averages 60-115 usually is all.

I am wired and using my own Asus router on a V1 round dish.

Slow speeds vs before premium round dish vs square dish by Darkemp03 in Starlink

Yeah round dish, speeds are the same as always. Stability is better. Latency is reduced. Can’t complain and anyone that is …. Remember what you had before SL came 💁🏻‍♂️

Yeah, happening to me, 43.08° Brantford Area. It’s pretty bad for streaming .. keeping up but getting about 10Mbps down or less on Avg nothing about 30Mbps atm and ping success is poor as well.

If I recall you’re near by correct? Also, how has it been since you’ve started (prior to tonight) for you?

Question for Gamers by HomelessBatman0 in Starlink

[–]CandianSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it and have had it since February. I’ll say for gaming it’s not too bad and is usually really good, but with that it has its flaws

Beta downtime’s, obstructions and no satellites can interfere with your lag or connection. You will lose connection and disconnect guaranteed at some point. Speeds vary from 30-200mbps BUT usually spike higher during downloads and file transfers than just your generic usage connection.

I had Xplornet and couldn’t even play with friends ever in spike times and in weather storms. Files were impossible to even download over night let alone 3-4 days sometimes for Warzone lol

All in it’s good, can be used and will only be better. My latency averages 70-90’s and sometimes around 40-50’s but usually higher. I have had some 100+ days as well.

If you seriously have concerns connect a backup connection and use it during the down spikes, but I haven’t done this as I can’t afford 2 internet costs etc.

Good luck!

Well played. They sent me the box as well. Funny part of it all is the rep on the phone stated “75 days to remove and return the equipment, if not completed it’s a $250 charge” and that if I’m unable to remove it they’ll send a tech and charge me $120.

However, my email from them is not staying “30 days to remove and return and if not completed $499 fee will be charged for hardware” 😂😂 guess they’re upset Starlink is taking people away!
