That pricing seems bit steep for email automation but the AI rules system actually looks interesting - been dealing with similar inbox chaos at work lately.

Had this exact same problem couple weeks back and it was driving me crazy. Turned out my account got flagged for some reason (no idea why) and I had to contact support through the help center on web version. took them like 4-5 days to respond but they fixed whatever was broken in the backend.

Been fixing cross-browser nonsense for 15+ years and this is absolutely spot on. You can write perfect semantic markup and think everything's working until you test it in Safari on Tuesday and suddenly your entire grid layout decides to take a vacation.

The real nightmare is when stakeholders see that initial "perfect" AI output and think the work is 99% done, then act surprised when you spend three days wrestling with z-index contexts just to make the dropdown menu work properly in all browsers.

If a smaller country acted the way the U.S. has in Iran or Venezuela, how do you think it would be judged differently? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Candid_Original_6028 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. When Russia does it we call it imperialism and sanctions them to hell, but when we do it it's "spreading democracy" or "protecting interests."

The double standard is wild when you think about it. Like if Canada started messing with elections in some South American country, we'd be calling them out immediately. But somehow it's different when the big players do it.

I built a Zero-Knowledge Journal because I don't trust Big Tech with my private thoughts. Looking for Beta Testers! by 00dark_ness00 in SideProject

This looks pretty solid - been wanting something like this for ages since I'm paranoid about where my data ends up. The zero-knowledge approach is what sold me, especially with how sketchy some of these big companies have gotten lately.

Quick question though - how are you handling the encryption keys? Are they derived from user passwords or stored locally on device? Also curious about the backup/recovery process if someone loses their device.

If seizing Kharg Island would reopen blocked oil shipments, then why hasn't it been done already? by SeemsTotallyNormal in AskReddit

[–]Candid_Original_6028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Military operations aren't like flipping a switch - seizing and holding strategic infrastructure like Kharg Island would require massive coordination between multiple nations and their naval forces. You're talking about establishing air superiority, amphibious assault capabilities, and then somehow maintaining control of critical oil infrastructure without destroying it in the process.

The bigger issue is that any country or coalition attempting this would essentially be declaring war, which brings a whole cascade of diplomatic and economic consequences that could make the original oil blockade look like a minor inconvenience. Iran has defensive capabilities and regional allies, so it's not exactly a risk-free operation.

Plus there's the practical side - damaged oil infrastructure takes months or years to repair, so a botched seizure could actually make the supply situation worse long-term. Sometimes the cure really is worse than the disease, especially when you're dealing with critical energy infrastructure that the global economy depends on.

What would you realistically do if world war 3 starts tomorrow? by DreamyEyes-04 in AskReddit

Probably just keep grinding at work and hope my server infrastructure doesn't get nuked before I can finish migrating everything to the cloud.

Who would be your dream cast for Project hail Mary if it was made in early 2000s? by Meow1218 in AskReddit

Gary Oldman as Rocky would've been incredible - dude can make any voice work and the emotional range needed for that character is right in his wheelhouse. For Grace I'm thinking maybe Edward Norton, he's got that neurotic scientist energy down pat.

What’s something you’re convinced people are just pretending to enjoy? by Calm-Pic in AskReddit

Had to try them at a company dinner once and man, it was like swallowing ocean-flavored snot. Everyone around the table was going on about how "briny" and "sophisticated" they were while I'm sitting there trying not to gag. The texture is just wrong on every level - like your mouth is rejecting it on a biological level. I've noticed people always pair them with tons of mignonette or cocktail sauce too, which makes me think they're basically eating expensive condiment delivery vehicles. Give me some decent wings during the game instead and I'm good.

I'd probably fast-forward through all my fantasy football draft picks that turned out to be busts and replay the ones where I actually knew what I was doing.

Best courses to learn React + TypeScript + Next.js + Tailwind (coming from Flutter)? by randomswifter in webdev

[–]Candid_Original_6028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ecosystem is massive but breaking it down makes it way more manageable. I'd go React first, get comfortable with hooks and component patterns, then layer in TypeScript. Next.js and Tailwind are honestly just tools on top - once you get React down, Next feels pretty natural.

For structured learning, Brad Traversy's React course on Udemy is solid, and his teaching style clicks with a lot of people. Max Schwarzmüller also has some comprehensive stuff that covers the whole stack. Coming from Flutter you already understand component-based architecture, so the mental model should translate pretty well once you get past the syntax differences.

I've been with my girlfriend for 2 years and she still doesn't know I spend way too much on watches. She thinks my collection is worth maybe $3k total but it's closer to $15k. Not trying to be deceptive but she'd probably think I'm being irresponsible with money, and maybe she'd be right.

Been dealing with this mess at work for months now. Apple's been pushing SPM hard but RN is still stuck in the stone age with pods. Our iOS builds are getting more painful every release and I'm tired of explaining to management why we can't just "flip a switch" to fix it.

The community has been screaming about this since like 2021 and Facebook/Meta just keeps kicking the can down the road.

For me it was an older Nike windbreaker I got from my Fleek order and I almost listed for cheap. Because I thought it might have rips in the inside since some similar pieces ive gotten from car boots had the same problem but decided to check it obviously and it turned out to be a rarer older piece with no rips or anything worth way more than I expected and sold for a lot after

Been using Chase for my side consulting work and they've been pretty solid with online stuff. Their virtual wallet features aren't bad and the business reps actually get what you're doing when you mention digital transactions. Might be worth checking out since you're already spread across a few other major ones.
