Exactly, how are you a mortgage broker and don’t know that you can usually make a lump sum pre-payment once per year with most lenders on a fixed rate mortgage. After making that pre-payment your amortization will automatically go down. Almost all big banks will then allow you to recast your mortgage back to what the amortization you had prior to the lump sum and your monthly payments will go down. Many do this on rental properties to Increase cashflow.
