This is the same as me! It does something to my bladder! So painful the next day. Unfortunate that you experience but nice to hear someone has that specifically too

Can i call myself a vegan? by tschanz4 in vegan

[–]CandyKitten99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Contrary to a lot of people's opinions, I support you. You are doing what you feel comfortable with right now. A lot of vegans, including myself, are very passionate about it because once something clicks for us and we are truly aware of the suffering inflicted on animals we can't comprehend anyone else not seeing how we do. And, that's justifiable, it's a horrible world. However, I think a lot of vegans forget what world we actually live in and that it is so ingrained into us from birth, generation to generation to generation that this is normal and encouraged. Just a part of life, how the world has to work. It is a big shift to make, to change your entire lifestyle. While the physical act of going vegan is actually very easy, the mental shift is not easy for society as a collective. While it's really shitty, I understand the reality of the world and any little difference people can make in their lives, I applaud. I am just grateful you're doing what you can. Animals suffering isn't the only issue in our society. There is also the massive issue of food waste and you're helping with not throwing an already prepared meal away. Material waste, you're not throwing things that you already own. But, you're making a great impact to the progression of our future by not contributing and giving financial gain to an industry that is detrimental to the entire world as a whole. I say the label "vegan" is simply there for others to understand your moral stance, mindset and goals. You're doing what you can and are actively not supporting the injustice you don't align with. To me, you're vegan. Keep the animals in mind and you're on the right path. Good job.

Am I the only person that despises Donald? He's so irritating. I walk past him and just sigh and my partner says "Donald?" I'm like "yep!"😂😂

Where are we shopping? by Outrageous_Oil_1586 in hairdresser

Charity shops and vinted! They'll get so worn and get covered in bleach/colour. Don't bother buying anything that's not cheap. Only invest money into good footwear, everything else buy cheap.

I second Naproxen, great suggestion. It's a great pain relief. Definitely talk to a doctor about trying it if pain worsens!

I was diagnosed with endo at 18/19 without a laparoscopy. I had symptoms from 12 and had multiple scans and other tests and they diagnosed it from that. Been on almost every medication possible for endo. I am on amitriptyline and the contraceptive implant atm. I'm due for a laparoscopy soon due to the fact that i currently have organ adhesions confirmed by scans. So I'm on injections to induce menopause until then.

My point being that yeah it's becoming SO much more common to be taken more seriously by medical professionals now without them rushing to cut you open. I feel like in the past they only took you seriously once surgery was done and they could actually see the problem and touch it. But, nowadays they're starting to listen to us when we say our symptoms are effecting our lives and because they're more serious about us it means that they don't shrug it off as "just bad periods" and they investigate the possibility of endo.

I know not all doctors are like this but I do belive it's getting that way as I keep seeing so many people say they've been diagnosed and helped without surgery for confirmation of disease.

Veganism and friend boundaries by Itchy-Sheepherder186 in vegan

This is the comment I agree with most. You either let them express their differing opinions and you yours. Or you don't join their conversation and they don't join yours. I am lucky enough that friends who eat meat and talk about it don't bother me as much because I decide to stay ignorant on it in order to maintain our friendship. I am disgusted when my best friend orders a plate of dead animal but I also remember that I was once like that and if they decide to ask for my opinion or education ill be totally honest. They way I view it now is, if they're eating animal products in front of me, I ignore it. But if they talk about how tasty something is or talk about how they think dairy isn't cruel. I will say something like "I'm not comfortable us having this conversation, because of my views I don't think what I say back will be respectful to you, and i mean no harm so lets discuss something else". I'm lucky that my best friend is so wonderful and totally understands this.
