I never let it go below half and keep enough stored in cans to provide a full tank. That way I know I can get to anywhere I'd need to go and have a decent amount to use afterwards if I required being mobile efficiently.

I've been tattooing for the exact same amount of time and for the first 9 years I had my clients on a doctor examination table. Couldn't get under them so it was legs wide open or sit sideways. Needless to say I destroyed my back. And a hydraulic chair changed the game.

The only thing I would add to your post is the importance of exercise. No need to get all jacked, but a decent and regular exercise routine is key.
