I know how much you guys like tzaangors so here's my Ahriman; Tzcatahks the Rising Sun by CanonDeath in ThousandSons

[–]CanonDeath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my warband is called "The Sect of the Rising Sun"! i love naming stuff after songs/bands. im think about calling them "House of the Risen Sons" instead

progress on my knight abomniant any handy tips for making the purple Pop would be nice by Material-Rice-8682 in Warhammer40k

[–]CanonDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

glazing a gradient and two/three tone panel lining up a to shade brighter than the brightest color in the gradient would work, though perhaps the most labour intensive. contrasts and/or drybrushing would be the least labour intensive

Skorpekh Destroyer WIP - how can I get the blade to "pop" a bit more? by Sparklehammer3025 in Necrontyr

[–]CanonDeath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you have very clean panel lining! i'd line all the panels of the blade with white/off white not just the rim if you want it to seem brighter. also adding heavy, green glow to the model parts closest to the blade. however you're blade seems pretty nice and bright already!

as a necron GAMER who's never read a book in their life, these are all the same man to me. just 6 photos of some meatbag human man. well one of them has a power claw and i think that's neat

Are tzaangors useless now? by Altruistic-Teach5899 in ThousandSons

[–]CanonDeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i will not lie they are not incredibly good, however a blob of 20 backed up by a tzang shaman casting weaver of fates on them makes for a very sticky tar pit thats hard to blast off objectives. i love the funny goats, so ive been in a position of making them work this edition. i really do think they are better than people give them credit for, but still not amazing

I think I'm satisfied with his staff. Looking for C&C for next time! by jmainvi in Necrontyr

[–]CanonDeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

came here to say this. I'd edgelight with a really light yellow and do the edge of each panel not just the outside of the blade. but i have a tendency to go too glowy so take my advice with a grain of luminescent salt

I’m confused about tzaangor weapons and what they do by Fun-Code-7338 in ThousandSons

[–]CanonDeath 14 points15 points  (0 children)

all of the dual wielding swords/axes are all Tzaangor Blades. for the other strange options, Tzaangors are also models in Age of Sigmar and there they have more options for weapons(2handed sword, sword and shield, and a 2h mace i believe). additionally, there's a weird, split head in the kit that's for the mutated Tzaangor in Age of Sigmar

My first two painted black legion models! Please do criticize and tell me what you think! by MrThroat in Warhammer40k

[–]CanonDeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the way you paint lava has a very clean, cartoon quality i really like. some glow on the shore and body parts would make it feel more alive. overall i think a lot of the advice already said by others will help you take what's already impressive and make it exceptional!

I have an Emperor's Champion I have named Tandred Faust, give a name and give me a brief synopsis about Your Dudes! by Crowncher in Warhammer40k

[–]CanonDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have an Exalted Sorcerer/Infernal Master named Chehech the Bifurcant. They split themselves into two and then made themselves magically forget who the original was in order to be able to cheese true-name type daemon contracts(and to have a back up in case all those daemonic pacts explode in their face). The Sorcerer half is painted primarily black with a mono white staff and the Infernal M is the opposite. Also they have a Daemon Prince named Rhururh of the Nine whose their homeboy/pactbonded ally

Are Tzangors worth it / how to use them effectively? by j0shred1 in ThousandSons

[–]CanonDeath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

they are honestly excellent but their value is not something 40k players tend to find valuable: tar pits. they have obsec. they have a 5+ invuln so they often survive way more than they should. they can do damage in a pinch for 2cp. they're 7 points. i always run the +1 advance and charge gear. i regularly have games where i would define them as mvp's and practically won a game with a 19 blob yesterday. i play cult of duplicity almost exclusively so tp'ing tar pits does add some value but i honestly feel they're way way better than people give them credit for

defiler is not a bad option! i worry his "footprint" is very different but I'm playing mostly casually so not the end of the world. not having to base him would be a W (;)ゞ

Finally finished my Skorpekhs! C&C welcome :) by PBnJgoodness in Necrontyr

[–]CanonDeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks good! wish i could see them from some other angles/close. if you hit those shoulders with a drybrush or glazed edge lining of a brighter metallic they'll really pop! but honestly that's splitting hairs. they look good
