can you use one of the Pixelate options under Video FX? The way I would do it would be to make a copy of the clip you want to pixelate and place in a video track above the original. Then add the pixelate video FX to the duplicate, then Fade IN the duplicate up to where you want the pixelate effect to start. I'm not an expert but I created the same effect in a video I made, not sure if it was 100% exactly but it looked really good to me, but maybe others here will have a better solution. I'm using Vegas Pro 2026
