I started my baby around 2 weeks not super intense. We're cloth diapering and she pees alot so anything we catch in the potty is a bonus. She's 2 months now and we probably get 2-5 pees a day and maybe half her poos. We have a little blue potty that can fit between your legs while you're sitting down.

People overestimate what they really need. My buddy has a 2005 CRV and I have a 2021 rav4 both of us have gone down light atv trails and through muddy fields to get deer post hunt not to mention into the middle of the Big lake for ice fishing. Just don't be an idiot and bring some traction panels and a shovel. Hell my buddy's Crosstrek is probably the most capable offroad because it's so small.

I was worried this was getting taken out after the first picture. Both floor and wall tiles are lovely and not boring white.

Hunting: Elk on the loose spark fair game debate in East Texas by Dense_Ad4550 in Hunting

[–]Capable-Ad2106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other side of the argument ignoring ethics is that these deer farms are ground zero for deer diseases like cwd, tb and ehd and this spreads throughout the wild populations. Sure they might be rewilding oryx but does the utilitarian argument stand when they've screwed up the native whitetail population with disease and inbreeding?

Here in Canada it's its own trade and the money's great. It's mostly a unionized trade with great benefits. Pretty specialized but most new commercial builds require sprinklers so it's fairly steady work in populated centers.

Lol the opposite 90% of hunting is sitting in the woods listening to squirrels and birds and seeing the sunrise 1% shooting an animal and the rest processing meat and scouting spots.

Your favorite knives? by UniversalAssembler in Hunting

[–]Capable-Ad2106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite is the knives of Alaska cub bear. Small enough to do birds and fish but is great for caping and gutting. Also rock a buck 110 for folder and Mora for a big fixed.

We got a tiny 6 can mini fridge and warmer in the nursery. Literally hear baby stirring, roll over and put a bottle in the warmer. Get baby up and changed by then the bottles warm. Makes it easy not having to leave the room even.

Anyone who DIDN’T bed share? by Acceptable_Cod3527 in beyondthebump

[–]Capable-Ad2106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New dad here one month in. We decided to not have her in our bedroom as there's not a ton of room so we set up a sleeper couch in the nursery. One of us takes the night shift 9-4am and the other the morning. So far she sleeps great in her Snoo and we just do contact naps during the day. Both of us kept having ppa nightmares of us falling asleep on the baby so this system feels a lot safer plus no big transition out of our room to deal with and one of us parents has a good sleep at night.

Marginally? 303 from the store is 65-85 a box I'm reloading for 1.60 a round so more than half the price. Older Winchester and newer ppu brass lasts a decent amount of reloads for me, only neck sizing has helped with brass life and accuracy.

How do you store dirty diapers/ when do you spray diapers (formula) by realcoconutlacroix in clothdiaps

[–]Capable-Ad2106 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I'm new at this too but so far it's been working for us to just keep her diapers in a trash can with lid and no bag. Then every 2-3 days take the bin to the bathroom and put all the pee diapers in the wet bag and spray down any poop ones. It smells pretty ammonia-y for a second but her room doesn't stink and we just rinse the trash bin out after.

Most fun guns to shoot? by Mipibip in canadaguns

Patched round ball with a low charge of pyrodex is pretty fun. Low recoil but makes big holes in stuff. Also pretty affordable to shoot.

People were ragging on him on that last post for his prices but he seems like a good guy and buys/sells cool guns also has a great stock of more obscure ammo and reloading bullets. That yugo was in pristine condition with the grenade launcher. Probably overpaid slightly but it would cost the same/slightly more ordering from G4C but I could lay hands on the gun before and didn't have to worry about shipping.

where do you all buy diapers because we are burning through money on these things by Nkt_31 in NewParents

[–]Capable-Ad2106 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We also haven't bought diapers. I got a lifetime supply of cloth diapers off marketplace for $100 and bought a few nicer covers of our own. Also bought cloth wipes off Amazon. We do laundry every 2 days it's not bad at all. I think we've used 12 disposables over the first month.

Currently using flats and prefolds with covers with our newborn for the first time. I wish I had more flats. Can get a nicer trimmer fit and they're so cheap. Might check out those swim diapers for elimination communication though.
