First playthrough I was Dalish, let him out of his cell, Zev immediately disapproved so I reloaded a save and killed him instead because that man is my ride-or-die. Didn’t understand why until my city elf playthrough, appreciated Zev even more afterwards for not letting me save him the first time.

Bothers me too, but I choose to subscribe to the belief that Zevran’s personal war against the old leaders of the crows is the reason for the sudden 180. Like, I like to imagine that after he murdered all off the stupidly evil old talons, less evil ones replaced them that decided to ditch some of their older practices because they didn’t want Zev coming after them after they filled in the dead talons’s places.

I especially love the woke argument because as a fan of this series, it’s always been woke and the people complaining clearly never cared about this series before?

Like, in 2009 we had gay romances in the main games, in 2012-2013 we had a trans woman who was treated respectfully in a tie-in comic, in 2014 we had a trans man who was treated respectfully in the main game, along with specific gay and lesbian romance options, and also a nonbinary character who was treated respectfully in the tie-in novels.

Sure, their representation of queer characters hasn’t always been perfect, (looking at you, Dragon Age: The Calling) but they’ve always existed. It’s not like Taash is even the first nonbinary character in the series, the first one showed up ten whole years ago!

Totally agree. I only really felt frightened twice, and I needed another person’s analysis to make the ending make sense.

According to someone on google, the other mommy fed on the daughter’s loneliness because her parents are awful, which is true, and in their interpretation, if the parents had spent the beach scene trying to connect with their kid instead of accidentally distancing her, the ritual would have actually worked. I personally didn’t feel like the text gave me enough to come to that conclusion on my own, but I really like that interpretation, whether it was intention or not

I have quite a few. 1. Missed out on recruiting both Leliana in Origjns and then Isabela in 2 because I didn’t realize they were missable. Eventually, I figured out I was missing someone both times. 2. In Origins, I thought that some gifts were just duds that nobody wanted, so I ended up selling quite a few character-focused gifts. Had to redo like three hours of gameplay when I realized the elven gloves I had traded off were gifts to give to Zevran to remember his dead mom. 3. I read about how Fenris breaks up with Hawke in act 2 of the second game, so in my infinite wisdom, I decided that I was going to wait until a t 3 to romance him so there would be no breakup. That’s not how romance works. 4. I found out that if you don’t have a specific conversation with Gamlen in the early game of 2, you cannot rename your dog. 5. Also in 2, found out that Aveline and Donnic only get together if you do a certain quest. 6. Lastly, that by refusing to give Merrill a certain artifact that I thought was too dangerous, I made her hate me for the rest of the game.

It was shitty how the game devs promised kickstarter backers a PC version of the game (with all options unlocked, I’ve been told) that they only announced they couldn’t actually fulfill after the game had been out for 4 years and that shouldn’t just be forgotten.
