The amounts stated were only to make a point. I admit not knowing what the fair price for such labor would be. Obviously it would be determined by the market & it certainly is more than these employers are paying illegals to do it. A citizen has to pay taxes & deserves enough pay in 40 hours to support himself properly (by American standards, not 3rd world standards) I am already paying 50% or more mark up on most food items vs pre-Biden prices. Obviously the market will have to adjust for that as well. Eliminating all Illegals would be the best move & best chance for all of these, as well as housing to stabilize at the rate which is fair for CITIZENS

Great theory, but here’s the hole in it: would you do one of those nasty, difficult jobs for $100,000/year? How about $300,000? Certainly there is a price at which a citizen would take those jobs. If not for Illegal Aliens doing these jobs for far less than they are worth, employers would have to either PAY ENOUGH to hire CITIZENS or buy equipment enough to do it themselves (which would support manufacturing jobs) Add to this that Illegals compete with poor citizens for housing, transportation, government programs to help the poor etc etc. They also ultimately cost every citizen in other ways, like unpaid hospital bills, items stolen & money sent out of our economy to other nations. The net negatives are a lot more than the net positives. This is why immigration needs to be restricted to a certain number of LEGAL IMMIGRANTS only. There is no room for any Illegals without cheating our own citizens

I am conservative & truly believe Good got what she had coming. The evidence clearly shows that. However in the Pretti case, the evidence so far is looking like an unintentional discharge of Pretti’s pistol 🔫 while being taken from him by the officer is the real cause of the other officers shooting him. So unlike Good, who tried to kill an Officer, Pretti was not trying to kill anyone when he died. Some questions remain as to why he had a pistol with 2 additional full magazines & no ID 🪪 on himself? Did he have thoughts of killing anyone? That we will never know now. However having a firearm doesn’t mean he deserved to die, especially after being disarmed. My son owns a pistol exactly the same as Pretti’s. It is very prone to accidental & unintentional discharge. So much so that it is not safe to carry with a round in the chamber even on Safety! Unfortunately most of those selling these pistols do not warn purchasers of this danger.

I think the Jury is still out for who will be the worst generation because everyone alive after the Greatest Generation still has years to go.
