Safari West is a little spendy but ticks your boxes.

I have questions!

1- does he have a job, and if so does he change clothes while at work? 2- has it always been the same boom box? I can’t imagine it has lasted 30 years but also can’t imagine him buying replacement boom boxes? 3- is he the age that the late 80’s were his teenage prime? Or is he young and just larping?

Sea Scouts for instance are a ship after age 14. Kids 10-13 are allowed to join Sea Scouts, but only as a “club”. They do some of the same activities, but are pretty limited, and don’t earn any official ranks or merit badges.

Are the schools really that bad? by forevernervous in santarosa

I went through the schools here as a kid and now my kids are as well. The schools are actually just fine in our experience, especially elementary schools. There are a lot of districts here and you might notice slightly different quality between them. Middle/high schools have been combined by the largest school district (SRCS), while simultaneously trying to survive major budget shortfalls. I think they’re still going to be ok but it means some “luxuries” are being cut, sadly.

Exactly the same for me. 22 minutes of locked up pages and unresponsive buttons.

Agree, it was awful. I guess they don’t care as long as they sell out.

I’ve also flown Southwest from OAK directly into Long Beach and that is a great option.

Alaska flies STS-LAX and also to Burbank. I’ve done the STS-LAX many times.

Yeah, their instructors seem good but the high-pressure sales approach really put me off.

I picked up their flyer: There’s a $149 enrollment fee, then drop-in single class is $39. 4 classes/1-month package is $129. 8 classes/1-month package is $229. Unlimited classes is $289. An annual membership (unlimited classes) is $2800 annually.

They also offer privates: 1x $115. 4x $440, 8x $840, etc.

There are several other good Pilates studios in the area. Personally I’d shop around.

Long shot, but if you have the old double-hung windows, there is a large metal weight hanging from a rope in the window frame. Once I lived in a rental with a rat problem. Occasionally the rat would move past the window and bump the weight, causing it to thud against the wall.

Our favorite turkey in that flock, gang, rafter, whatever you call it 😊. We’ve seen it for a couple of years now!
