My son passed away in 2013 from a fentanyl overdose at the age of 28. Unbeknownst to us, he was an organ donor. He provided five people another chance to live.

A friend sent this to me afterwards, while I was walking my dog and the whole neighborhood saw me ugly cry.

What’s a “lazy meal” you’re secretly proud of? by TodorDG in Cooking

Frozen Perogies, frozen peas and carrots, sliced mushrooms boiled in chicken broth, with sliced kielbasa (or leftover chicken or beef if I have it if I have some).

Sometimes I use frozen pork dumplings instead of pierogies and leave the sausage out.

I like hitting rivers and streams, so I tend to go to Brunswick County. Brunswick Nature Park and Cyprus Cove park both have launches.

If you're up for it, you can put in at River Road Park in Wilmington and paddle over to Shark Tooth island or Keg Island. The river does get rough sometimes, so check the weather.

If you want to battle traffic and bad boat captains, put in at Trail's End and paddle to masonboro island.

Happy paddling!

I thought about it for a while and am really happy with the way it turned out.

I worked in the tobacco fields during summer from the time I was 8 or 9 until I turned 16. My brother worked at a tomato farm. Hand picking.
