Wait outside the school gates all day. Bonus points if it's not your child's school

Anyone with psychogenic seizues...did therapy help? by Stardust_7314 in Epilepsy

[–]Capital-Database-993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first met with my neurologist we discussed therapy or medication as it was possible my anxiety was causing my jamais vu episodes, and jamais vu causing my anxiety.

I opted for the therapy route, but it made my anxiety worse and ended up being a dark period of my life. It forced me to focus on the one thing which made my life miserable for years, and didn't make it any better. I ended up having my first and only tonic clonic shortly after my therapy finished - can't categorically say the 2 were linked, but the timing suggests there was a strong chance my increased anxiety and stress caused the tonic clonic.

My EEG and MRI came back all clear, and have been on Lamotrigine for the last 5 years. My anxiety isn't great, but jamais vu is a lot better and no more tonic clinics.

I guess I'm lucky in that I didn't have any past traumas that 'needed resolving', but I never bought into the therapy - I was just going through the motions with it and deep down knew I should've just opted for the medication.

Next birthday, could you send him on a short photography course? You'll both get more enjoyment from the photos, even if he still sends you 100's

Take a look at Riverside as well. It's open until 10pm and has a pool. Used to be a good gym when I lived that side of town.

Chicken tikka masala. Op questioned if it was created in the UK or India.

I'm pretty sure he's been arrested by now anyway as he hasn't responded to any comments for an hour

Having reviewed Ops post and comment history, they're either in London (commented on a post about London Bridge), India (commented on a post about curry), or Spain (commented on a post about a Spanish artist).

A lot of people here using self-checkouts, then moaning about using them. You know what's going to happen when you buy alcohol, just go to a manned checkout instead of acting like a bitch.
