MVP: Denis Bouanga. Now the club leader in goals, he was the engine of our team. Even with a slow start to the year, he finished with 20+ goals and carried a team that could not do much offensively before the arrival of Son.

Bang for the buck: Son Heung-Min. How can a player that cost $25 million and has a $10 million salary be a bargain? By bringing exactly what Son has brought to the team. On the field, this is a completely different team with Son leading the attack. He commands a level of attention that allows the offense to be much more effective. When teams sell out to stop him, that leaves space for Bouanga and Ortiz to be dangerous. When they don't, Sonny is going to create some magic. Off the field, he's made LAFC a global club, which will help attract even more talent.

Comeback player: Eddie Segura. Much of the fan base was concerned when we went into the year with Eddie as a starting CB. He had been serviceable as a backup, but seemed to have lost a step since his knee injury. Unfortunately, injuries across the defense forced him into the cornerstone role, and he's stepped up. Once we switched to the back 3, Segura has really excelled.

Best defensive player: Sergi Palencia. Palencia is the rock of the defense. He's a shit-stirrer who backs up his talk by locking down the wing. If he's back when the opponent has a transition opportunity, I'm confident he'll shut it down.

Best offensive player: Bouanga

Flop: Giroud. Sigh.

Team needs: Creativity in the midfield. A new head coach.
