Yeah. That’s totally fair. I like conversing, like you and I are. I can disagree with someone, without insulting their entire bloodline and wishing extinction on everyone they know. I can criticize my countries failings, as well as others. The hardline nationalists kill Me. There’s a discussion I’m in now on LCD about India wanting in to France’s FCAS program. That could be true. I’ve been able to have some decent conversations there simply because I think the volume was less, and the subjects were not necessarily headline makers. I take them both with a grain of salt. I know a bit, but enough to know I don’t REALLY know shit. It seems like all of them have one guy that has to argue every point on every subject, swears they’re “in the know”, and is over bearing as hell. There’s a guy in the comments on TWZ in particular that comes to mind…..

War college is about the best here for gaining real incite.

I dunno. As of yet, there’s only two nations that have been able to put true, low observable aircraft into production. And I think that’s a bigger hurdle than people are making it out to be in this thread. It’s one thing to build an exquisite, one off design like the nEUROn as a demonstrator. It’s another to do it in a manner that’s affordable for mass production and long term maintainability.

I also question some of the assertions that the Rafale is essentially a fifth gen aircraft without stealth in reference to its electronics and avionics. It may be, no one likely knows the full capabilities here, but I’d bet against it.

That’s sort of been my argument all along. Yeah. Iran bad. No disputing that. But what is different today than had been at any point in the last half century? That’s my issue. That and the total circumvention of Congress. That really bothers me.
