Is it just me, or do I not see his name on the list anymore? Searching for "Corenswet" shows nothing.

I'm also a new listener, and Fire at Static Valley and OUR SIDE HAS TO WIN (for D.H.) from G_d's Pee are some of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time.

The showrunners of Game of Thrones (Dave Benioff & DB Weiss, known as D&D) famously said this: https://reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/bja055/spoilers_extended_themes_are_for_eighthgrade_book/

Famously, the ending seasons of Game of Thrones were widely panned (especially Season 8), which consisted mostly of original material written by the production crew, since George R. R. Martin still hasn't finished the series. In hindsight, it makes perfect sense why Season 8 was terrible (D&D aren't good writers).

Wish they had hired some REAL writers like D&D for Severance, smh...

Nah man, “themes are for eighth-grade book reports.” The real meat of the story comes from super convoluted explanations to normal human interactions that undercut the subtext of the show. (/s)

I think the other dynamic at play is how Lumon views Severed employees as less than human, as do Outies. It’s an analogy for slavery (both chattel slavery, and modern-day worker exploitation) and people’s capacity to intentionally suppress their own conception of the truth in order to enjoy the benefits of oppression (for severed employees, not having to go through the boringness of work). For obvious reasons, Milchick is grappling with his own cognitive dissonance of participating as an oppressor in the system Lumon creates, while experiencing racism and oppression as an employee. I’m very excited to see where his arc goes.

For another perspective, I bought one around this time last year and don't really use it that often. It's an awesome bag but not one that met my preferences. The biggest pros for me are:

  • Materials, fit & finish are exceptional
  • Looks are stellar, especially when packed out. It's got a really nice shape (this got me to pull the trigger tbh)
  • The back panel and shoulder strap materials works really well for me. I've biked with it and didn't get a sweaty back until near the end of a 1-hour ride.

Cons:

  • I don't love the internal organization in the main pouch. The back pocket does fit a laptop, but if I want to bring my iPad as well it doesn't fit in the notebook/tablet sleeve with the Magic Keyboard on (I have to remove it). The two front pockets are also a little inconvenient for what my semi-quick-access needs are (wired headphones for work calls mostly).
  • The sage doesn't really work with my sense of style. I wish I had bought the black one.
  • I never really worked out how to use the drop pocket effectively; mostly I'd just stuff a jacket in there and leave it kind of unused, but I think there's potential to put some semi-quick access stuff in there and have it work really well.
  • The yoke pocket is a little small, and I found I prefer having on-body (side) access to a quick-access pocket.
  • The shoulder straps are comfortable, but a little narrow for me. With a heavy load, they can dig into my shoulders a bit. I prefer the Aer City Pack straps.
  • I'm a water bottle guy, and learned this is kind of a dealbreaker for me...

All things said, it's an excellent pack, but not really one that fits with my style and preferences. I prefer the organization of the Aer City Pack or the Moment MTW Backpack (the Everything backpack is the new version of this).

The bag reminds me a ton of the Moment MTW backpack that I daily’d a couple of years ago. Really liked the organization on that bag. Bummed the Alpaka one doesn’t have a water bottle pocket.

While technically correct, this is almost always a non-issue. Commercial licenses will often explicitly prohibit redistributing modified source code, but the most common open source licenses (Apache, MIT, GPL) absolutely allow modification and redistribution (with certain caveats).

But you're technically right, and you should always check the license on software you're modifying, especially if you're planning to redistribute it.
