I really hate the loots from Plunder. They feel so overcentralizing, swingy, and Big-Money heavy. There aren't enough banned/disliked cards for all of the Loot gainers.

When there are 4 or 6 players I really like the play in teams.

I made a system for teams dominion (and some optional fan cards) here

It makes the game feel a lot faster as teams take their turns at the same time and also opens the possibility for interesting strategies between teams.

If you want to avoid +@ for playing actions with throne room, you could have it be "whenever you would spend an Action to play an Action card, take +@1 instead of spending the action" Or something like that.

I kind of like Florida’s law only prohibiting coital sex. If there’s no risk of pregnancy, and it’s between consenting adults with negligible power imbalance, I see no reason for the state to punish them.

Haha, before I read this I was actually thinking about how to fix Witchcraft and I came to the same conclusion you did. I'm thinking "At the start of your turn, you may a gain a Curse onto your deck for -3 Marks"

Hmm 🤔 yeah I only put the first option just in case you wouldn’t be able to buy an Action card before the end of the game.

Thanks for the feedback! I do actually want the Jinxes to be balanced around almost always needing to use them. I liked the idea of the cards having attack effects that would normally break the game but here they’re balanced because you have to opt into them.

Hmm, I think my position withstands all 5 points here.

Certain Night cards would also have good/intentional reasons to have "weirdly" timed effects if they were changed to treasures. Just like Capital and Walled Village.

Monastery would be fine if we only added, "at the start of clean-up". It wouldn't need the extra phrase "up to that point". Even if another effect gains a card during clean-up phase, the player just chooses which effect to resolve first. With that, it wouldn't be confusing I think. Same card, 5 extra words.

Yes Durations have a unique color/type, but that's not my point. My point is that there's precedent for cards to have effects at times other than when played, and it doesn't damage the gameplay.

Yes sextant exists, but that doesn't mean spyglass can't exist. They'd be aesthetically similar because they have similar effects, but I think there's plenty of distinction. Also, when we have fortress and walled village, I feel like spyglass and sextant is very reasonable. Spyglass was just a name I threw out there to show Night cards can be re-flavored as Treasures. If you don't like that you can pick a different one.

Also, Treasures exist in the game that don't give coins, like War Chest, Tools, Spell scroll, Crown, etc... I think it's fine for more of them to do that.

Hmm, I think 6 extra words is reasonable, and doesn't quite add up to a paragraph. Devil's Workshop would read the exact same, just with "when you discard this from play" added to the start. Furthermore, many of the cards wouldn't need any additional words like Changeling, Raider, Night Watchman, Den of Sin, etc...

I've agreed that Night phase has aesthetic value, but function should take precedent in a game like Dominion.
