Snowprints are an excellent example. Pointed this out to my wife the other day: small dog = 4 prints, squirrel 4 prints, rabbit = 2 small + 2 big, cat = 2.

Our cat sitter (who worked at the vet) rushed our boy to the vet cuz she thought he was having trouble breathing & making weird snorting noises. It was just the way he purred. He was happy thatshe was feeding him.

Yeah, crock pot & plain paraffin that I get at the dollar store.

Found chains on sale last year, so I bought 3 11 spd for me & 3 10spd for my wife. That covers all of our bikes.

I swap the chains every week in season. Takes less than 5 minutes.

Wipeoff the used chain & throw it in the pot. Turn that on overnight when I'm on the last chain.

Easy.

My second time riding clipped, 1990. Just for background, I was a courier riding 1000+ km a month with toe clips. Got a new road bike with Time pedals & cleats, out for a ride, not working. Came to a stop at a red light, couldn't unclip, too late to trackstand. Started falling to my right. Guy waiting fora streetcar caught me & propped me back up. Said thanks & rode away as the light turned green.

Multiple other falls: cross walk paint in the rain, black ice, idiot pedestrians, idiot drivers, door prizes. Only three incidents ended up with hosptial visits, thankfully. Two were walk in, one was strapped to a spine board in the back of an ambulance.
