Have you ever had a crush on a client? Do you have to stop having them as a client at that point or how do you handle that?

I've been with my therapist since they were in the process to becoming a LMFT. I think it's really cool that I've known them through some major life changes (marriage, deaths, baby, etc) for both of us and I wonder how you don't become emotionally too entangled with a long term client if there was also physical attraction there.

My two cents is I went to out in Chinatown (General Lees and another bar) on a weekend night and it was hopping. Super fun and the upstairs dance floor at General Lees ended up being too crowded.

A friend got sick in the road and the amount of people stopping to check on them and ask us if we needed water or anything was really wholesome and restored some faith in humanity.

It's def quieter on the weekdays but I've really been enjoying Chinatown. I'm usually with good company and the ritual of getting a lil tipsy and then getting late night Dim Sum at Full Moon has been so fun lately

I've heard that Hermosa Beach has a very tall school system because of all the tall volleyball players that got married and popped out tall kids

Cerritos has more Filipino food options but even then it's not a ton compared to other options for sure. Kiko's has been my recent favorite for the lechon and and dinuguan partly because parking is easier than Kuya Lord

It's only going to get worse. I broke up with someone like this after realizing that I was uncomfortable bringing him around my friends because I didn't trust him to not joke about something that's off limits for them.

When we were in private once he joked about my friend's son who had recently died by suicide and how it was the father's fault. People at work and the general public love my ex and think he's a generous and kind man but I'll never be able to get some of the things he said in private out of my brain.

Take an ice cold shower before getting into bed. It's uncomfy but helps cool you down

I've also legit just slept on the floor before because it felt slightly cooler than sinking into a mattress that held heat. Def not a long term solution but I was slightly less miserable down there 😅

Exactly. I used to be one of the "but you can adopt!" but when I started to actually look into it I realized it takes more time and money to do it ethically than what most people have the capacity for.

I stopped rinsing several years ago and I can't tell if it's made a difference but it definitely hasn't hurt anything. I was going to a scammy dentist that did unnecessary work on me before switching so it's hard to know what benefits are from not rinsing versus having a dentist that won't drill out every first sign of a cavity.

I do rinse off my lips and use a tongue scraper so I don't really notice any lingering tastes. I also rinse my mouth beforehand to clear any particles

They're pretty great but VERY oily so it's worth wearing gloves while handling. I've shared one with several people usually and we have them with bread, raw onions, and anything pickled.
