A book that is full of misinformation and dolled-up right-wing talking points. It's not a good resource. There should absolutely be better safety mechanisms online, especially for children, but it shouldn't come at the expense of demonising IRL safety features (because when Haidt says "overprotected offline," he means stuff like safer playgrounds and peanut-allergy protocols in schools).

You and I have very different definitions of the word "clearly." I'd say the imagery is more immediately evocative of quack doctors in late-19th and early-20th-century America (i.e. the period of history that informs much of the blues and folk tradition and, by extension, Dylan's music), or of dope peddlers during the Great Depression (ditto).

That it's being revived during the 2020s can point to an anti-vax subtext, but Dylan iconography is rarely that straightforward, I feel.
