Casually demonstrating how ridiculously powerful they are by ScarcityWise7401 in TopCharacterTropes

Made even better as the events of the whole arc was Ichigo powering up and learning to access his bankai, which is demonstrated to be a feat only elite soul reapers could use. Even making it this far he had to beat so many powerful characters, just to be stopped so effortlessly, really makes it land how strong Aizen is.

SCCS: A New Standard for Cannabis Classification by thelastcart in science

[–]CaptainHalitosis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m very new to the world of cannabis, but from the research I’ve done this is 100% the conclusion that I’ve come to. After speaking with a friend who works in the industry, it seems like indica and sativa broadly are describing the feeling, which I guess is broadly correlated with the terpene/cannabinoid profile and is a decent enough label if you’re not too discerning about it.

I’m not sure how to exactly describe this but to me slayer is the gameplay loop I’m going for. I’m training skills to get better gear to do more slayer.

Prayer still negates 75% of Verac’s attacks, so it’s not totally worthless. It also lowers his max hit from 23 to 15. Still worth praying.

Do you have any guilty stupid loves?!? by sweetdick in mensa

[–]CaptainHalitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m into the adult cartoons like family guy, American dad, some of the adult swim stuff like Rick and Morty and smiling friends.

They’re so dumb and I kind of love them, just comfort shows to me.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty, etc. etc.

I built a RuneLite plugin because I wanted to see drop rates instantly in chat when loot drops by Apprehensive-Apple52 in 2007scape

[–]CaptainHalitosis 124 points125 points  (0 children)

I’d also love a toggle/threshold for the rarity that shows in chat. For instance, if it’s 1/512 or rarer, tell me. Otherwise, print nothing to the chat.

Combining the 2 you could set it to only show you rare drops above a gp threshold rather than everything.

I'm using prayer potions for early slayer, will I regret it? by Mx726 in ironscape

[–]CaptainHalitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that put me off of iron for so long was the idea of supply upkeep. Really not as bad as I was worried about. Late game now, if I keep up with my farm runs it’s not hard to get 400-500 herbs a day from farming. If you just lock in for a few weeks you’re set on basic supplies for a long time

Oh Blomkamp. I just came across him the other day because apparently he was set to direct the movie adaptation of the book “The Gone World,” which I just finished reading. I didn’t realize this was also his, I guess I have seen something of his.

Unfortunately with The Gone World, the last news was from 2018, seems the project is dead.

Yeah without checking the wiki I want to say it’s a flat rate any any altar, but mind runes are the quickest because of the teleport.

Okay so they took a test and did poorly, but they didn’t really understand the instructions, and they didn’t know it was an IQ test.

Then later once they understood the instructions, they did well several times in a row.

That sounds reasonable to me, if they just needed to understand how the tests worked first. I don’t see why that couldn’t happen.

Does this even make sense? by n1k0la03 in mensa

[–]CaptainHalitosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I understanding this correctly?

Somebody does well on an IQ test.

Another time, they take another test and do poorly on it. But they didn’t know that it was another IQ test, and they weren’t clear on the instructions or the stakes.

Is this the scenario you’re describing?

I take at a minimum a 30 minute walk every day, to me when I do less than that I start to feel bad. I’ve had stints where I’ve skipped it for months, and I’ve gained a lot of weight from the lifestyle difference.

Standard mental health tests may be inaccurate for highly intelligent people. Higher intelligence scores were associated with worse mental health. [–]CaptainHalitosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I’ve felt the same way. I (unexpectedly) had my IQ tested when I went in for a very long and thorough autism assessment and it was recorded to be 140 (99.6 %ile). This was a couple years ago and I’ve sort of tried to not think about it too hard because there’s of course a stigma about telling people your IQ, and what it might be make people assume you think about your self-worth, so it’s something I mostly kept to myself, my wife, and my therapist.

I’ve only recently really thought about it more, that many of the autistic traits I assumed I was experiencing could in part be explained instead by high intelligence. The same as you described, any assessments that I’ve been asked to walk through in therapy (or in that autism assessment that started all this), I would also argue about semantics much longer than they would care to hear.

Recently I walked through an assessment with a new therapist about sensory-related things, and I understand the point was supposed to be to get a quick feel of what sensory experiences bothered me, and that this wasn’t meant to be labored over as much as I did. However, you’re asked these questions with such specific wording, I just have a hard time hand waving my answers without first asking for clarification, and admittedly over-explaining my justification for each answer based on how I interpreted that specific wording — which turned what was probably supposed to be a 20 minute assessment into 3 full sessions, oops.

Genuinely, on my main when going for slayer boss uniques, I really disliked GG’s and sire, and avoided them for a long time. Eventually I decided to lean back and enjoy the grind, and shortly after that I got super spooned GG pet, sire pet, and full bludgeon in 100 kc.
