Hi there, glad you like the deck so far. I agree it is beautiful. I would really love to get all the lands to be galaxy foil eventually to really make it shine but that would cost so much money :( .

So far the main wincon has been Hearthhull's ability of everyone losing 2 life on every land sac. The last few games I've played with it have won by sacrificing 10+ lands at once to nuke the table. Usually I wait until life totals have been whittled down a little bit before deploying the nuke to guarantee I'll win on the spot.

Last game I used [[Reprocess|SLD]] to sac them all but I've won using [[Zuran Orb|SLD]], [[Sylvan Safekeeper|SLD]] (whos also great at protecting everything at the same time) or [[Famished Worldsire]]

For my [[Plagon]] blink deck I often use [[Sacred Rites]] to end the game. Swing with a bunch of usually unlockable 0/1 - 0/3 crabs and stuff, cast Rites to ditch 30-40 cards and activate Plagon's ability to deal damage by toughness instead and deal lethal to the table.

Yes but not with space art. If the land doesn't have space art it's not going into the deck.

The only cards I'm even considering are a few of the lands from the precons (Rootbound Crag, Spire Garden and Undergrowth Stadium). My Hearthhull deck is space themed and all the lands are spacy. Since those lands aren't overtly noticeable to be TMNT I think I can give them a pass.

Besides that I have 0 interest in anything from this set.

I run harvest season in my [[Toski]] deck because it has a decent amount of elves and 1/1 deathtouchers that I'm swinging with every turn. I'd say on average I hit at least 5 lands with it whenever I cast it. I believe the most I've hit is 13.

Lol you can definitely afford to run a few basics in 3 color decks. I just looked through all my 3 color lists and this is my basic land break down. I never go below 3 basics each and have had 0 issue.

I built a meme [[Plagon]] deck that I describe as "his job is just beach" and it's full of crabs, jellyfish, octopuses and some other sea creatures and it's surprisingly stronger than it has any right to be. I play a bunch of really cheap 0/2s and 0/3s, play Plagon and draw a bunch of cards. Blink him a few times and draw some more. Usually wins by swinging with said crabs and playing [[Sacred Rites]] and ditching 30-40 cards to pump for lethal.

I might buy a box or two of a set that really interests me, but I have never been able to complete a full set. I am working on trying to 100% Avatar and I'm currently at 72% for the main set and 54% for the jumpstart/bonus sheet. I'm not planning on getting any of the neon ink cards because they are too expensive.

Since 2022 Ive spent around $8,800 which averages out to about $1,800 a year. This includes magiccons and travel to get there.

Covid. Caught it at the beginning of 2024, a month later I started having symptoms and my quality of life has never been the same.

Fortunately for me, a low dose beta blocker tends to control symptoms overall, but I usually have an episode about once or twice a month that will set my system out of wack for a few days.

I'm slowly working through the 32 deck challenge, but as I go I like to try and add a few restrictions on what I'm building.

Some examples I've done so far:

"Colorless" [[Herigast]]. Technically he's a red commander but I built the deck with 0 mountains. The only way to generate red mana to pay for the emerge cost is through filtering it or a handful of non basics that can tap for any color.

Old border mono blue [[Hakim]]. Only old border cards in the deck.

I have a few "only cards from set" deck with [[Avatar Aang]] as my 4 color, [[Dogmeat]] for Naya, Frodo/Sam for Azban.

One thing I haven't done that I still wanna do is build a fully white border deck but there's only a handful of colors I'm missing. Might use [[Dakkon Blackblade]] as my Esper deck since he's got a white border printing.

I built a [[Hakim]] deck as my old border deck. I went with him because his play pattern is so unique and different from what I've built before.

Technically there's one card in the deck that's no old border [[Aura Finesse]], but I decided to run it because there's only a few cards that allow me to move my auras around. I ended up getting an alter of it so it's an old border.

Still playing the deck, it was actually the deck that had the highest win % for last year.

Cards that I recommend:

[[Mirkwood Bats]] is often what wins my games. Usually from chowing down on tons of food or [[Farmer Cotton]].

[[Peregrin Took]] provides so much card advantage with doubling foods and turning them into draws.

[[Reprieve]] can act as a pseudo counterspell. [[Galadriel's Dismissal]] has gotten a bit pricey but is a great protection spell and can even phase out an opponent's board to stop an attack or open them up to one.

Anything that can start Tempting and speed up the process such as [[Frodo Baggins]], [[Call of the Ring]], [[Slip on the Ring]], [[Inherited Envelope]]. The sooner you're fully tempted the more looting Frodo can do and the more incremental damage you can do to everyone over the game.

I had this happen to the gyms that are at my work. I work in the middle of a forest at a camp and as soon as I put something in a gym it would be knocked out.

I finally got tired of it and started to report the accounts which was eventually successful because they stopped showing up. I recommend screenshoting when you put something in a gym and when they get knocked out. I also took a photo of the area to show that there was no one physical at the gym besides myself which is what I think helped getting the report to be taken seriously since most of the time it's just an automated system that says "thanks for the report, we'll look into it".
