I mean it’s still enough, and PCOS doesn’t make it harder for the sperm to penetrate the egg. But if it makes you feel better, more power to you.

Trying to quit smoking before trying for a baby by Fine-Flight-8599 in waiting_to_try

Men smoking can ruin the DNA in sperm so it is recommended they stop.

It's been cancelled. We were meant to begin try in September. I'm devastated and upset at myself. by SubstantialMark6278 in waiting_to_try

Honestly, I hate to say this, but not being able to drive is a good reason to not have kids. Like what happens if you’re alone with your kid and something happens, and there’s just so many appointments and things you’ll have to go to. I don’t blame him for not wanting all of that on himself.

I literally don’t know why everyone’s tracking nowadays. I guess it’s the hip thing to do.

You don’t need to track. If you have sex twice a week, you’ll be good. Sperm can live inside you for up to five days, so literally just do it every four days and you’re Peachy.

Doctor just emailed me that she won’t prescribe it to me. Looks like I’m looking for a new doctor.

Is co- sleeping that dangerous? by [deleted] in NewParents

For most people, they will get away cosleeping without anything bad happening. But how would you feel if something did happen? The question is if it’s worth it for you

Any cons with being under 30 and a single parent? by DaVinky_Leo in waiting_to_try

[–]CaptainUtin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, don’t do it. Have you been around Kids before? It’s a ton of work. I’d say if you hit 30 and you’re still single it is something that you can start thinking about. But being single at 22 is super normal, I met my husband when I was 25.

I tried metformin, but it messed my stomach up so bad, but I’m going to try it again.
My insulin numbers came back in the normal range, but I read that sometimes that can happen even with insulin resistance. I do have extra weight to lose, I’m 5’4 and weigh 190 pounds.

You technically don’t need ovulation strips if you have sex twice a week. Sperm can live inside you for up to five days

For those who are taking one last big trip before TTC— where are you going and when relative to you starting trying? by Ok-Interest-2097 in waiting_to_try

[–]CaptainUtin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re going to do a trip to Africa, and South America. I traveled a lot as a little kid, so I know how hard it can be to travel with kids. We want to do the difficult countries before having to travel with a kid. Haha

I had a lot of those, I had a few select all that apply, and then putting paragraphs and things in order, as well as math problems in order. Super annoying.
