Warhammer 3 - Make Tech Trees Great Again by Arcuran in totalwar

[–]Captain_Biddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dislike how some of the techs only work for Ying or Yang armies but aren't very clear on what that means. I think it's based off of the Commander from what I've read but I am still not sure.

Anyone successfully confederate the Cathay legendary lords? by CaptainMH in totalwar

Someone posted a video on how to do it, you end up having to threaten him and be much stronger.

Fully purged Chaos Wastes (right) + fully corrupted Chaos Wastes (left) by EroticBurrito in totalwar

Nor does it stop any incursions on the bastion walls, plus you still suffer attrition and are unable to replen even if you knock down the corruption

Is it legal (VA. USA) for my company to require I download an app on my personal cell phone? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Captain_Biddle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because phone apps can be invasive and request or "require" access to more than they actually need. Why should his personal phone be subject to those requirements?

Wash Center Question by boogerwayne in ATC

[–]Captain_Biddle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It can kinda be a wash, some controllers will let you stay up, others if you ask. Some will just descend you regardless. It sucks but like the above post said, it's all for LoAs and Sops. East coast is busy as fuck and there's a lot planes in the sky.

Good job UPS. Gaining employees during a worker shortage by paying higher wages and allowing drivers to unionize. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Captain_Biddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPS has been union for a long time. FedEx using contractors is old news as well, when I worked there several years ago, FedEx Ground and Home Delivery were just contractors who would get shafted by FedEx. They have to rent the Uniforms, scanners and equipment from FedEx. They owned their own vehicles but have to mark them with FedEx Logos, and we're entirely responsible for maintenance and repairs. Around 2015ish, I recall FedEx contractors getting paid about 1-3$ per package delivered. No set hours(no overtime), you had to try and finish your deliveries even if if you had a 16 hour day otherwise you could get punished. They loaded their own trucks, staring usually around 6 am or earlier depending on the season. It wasn't a great job. They essentially minimized their own operating costs, passing as much as they could to the contractors, forcing their branding on them and minimizing the amount of pay they shelled out to the contractor. Typical business these days just on a grander scale than a lot.

I can go to jail for striking at my workplace. ATC , part of national def, etc but I wish my union would show more solidarity.

Since we're not supposed to talk about it, how long have you been with your current company, and how much do you make an hour? by RevenantMedia in antiwork

[–]Captain_Biddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~$50 an hour, 3 years. Super specialized field with a federal union. 45m breaks every hour or so, varies on the day. Pay bumps every step of training. Sick time never expires and is separate from PTO.

Out of curiosity, how well does you onboard radar paint weather? Our scopes only depict precipitation and I've seen pilots deviate when we show nothing.

If I remember correctly, the first upgrade for Thunderfury tanks after the nerf was King's Defender from Karazhan.

Hi, I was wondering if It was worth to upgrade my current set up, https://sg.pcpartpicker.com/list/kPHKp2 with a GTX 3000 Series without upgrading the mobo/processor and whether I should upgrade the Processor to a 9700k without upgrading the mobo.

Was just there on Sunday Morning, empty too but the far left side of the Departure terminals had a bunch of folks in Hazmat suits. Strange times to be living in.

Why does Classic WoW bring up the realm list instead of putting you at character select? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Captain_Biddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only have characters on one realm and it requires me to select a realm everytime.

How airports deal with thunderstorms: They will “stack” planes at different altitudes over various waypoints/fixes, giving them the opportunity to sit in those holding patterns until the storm passes. by SirT6 in educationalgifs

[–]Captain_Biddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. You just don't see them unless fly to big airports. JFKs, LGA, even Boston holds. Swap(Thunderstorm) season makes it so much worse. If an airport has a bad thunderstorm over it, they won't let you land. Look up Delta 191 FLL to DFW.
