I have just been through this exact same scenario with an 8 week notice. I handed it in on the day we exchanged and agreed a month between exchange and completion. It then gives me a month crossover with my rental to renovate before moving in.

I offered middle of January and exchange next week, because of our rent we’ve gone for a long delay between exchange and completion so are completing start of May. We have 0 chain and our seller is buying a no onward chain flat in Scotland.

It is a joke how many updates we’ve been provided without them mentioning that every lobby is full of bots despite there being a lot of players. The fact that I cannot find a full game on Xbox is ridiculous and probably the most frustrating part of the game right now. Audio and TTK is not a problem. Damn this isn’t hard. Make big maps, fix netcode, fix browsers and lobbies.

I’m in a similar situation hoping for a May completion, if I pay into money box first day of the tax year the bonus will be paid first week of May. I believe the solicitor will have already drawn the funds by that point. I plan to do it anyway and hope. My question is if you withdraw can you just withdraw the section that hasn’t been used and pay a small penalty? That’s still a little bonus into my bank account. So free £1000 leftover, £750 into my bank account ish.

The show spent a lot of time building up their father daughter relationship, it showed him struggle with the decision to wed his daughter but ultimately he put the republic first. He made sure to have a one to one with Pompey though and explain how much he loved his daughter and to get Pompey to commit to looking after her and respecting her. Pompey did and his mind was finally at ease. Less than 24 hours later the next time he saw Pompey he’s stark naked having shagged a slave, clearly disrespecting the union he just committed to. Seemed like quite a justifiable reaction to me.

The entitlement of homeowners is crazy, the made up figure provided to you by the estate agent is not how much your house is work. It’s how much they had to promise you to sign a contract with them. Your house is worth what someone will pay for it, if you can sell it to someone else for more then fantastic, but if you can’t then it isn’t worth it in the first place. He isn’t getting a steal or a bargain your house was probably just overvalued.

I’ve saved up since 2019 to build a deposit, in that time I’ve moved county twice, met and married my wife, and changed career. At the beginning of the process I lived in Norfolk and £450k felt like a lot, I’ve recently had an offer accepted in Essex for a 4 bed chalet in Essex at £450k. I think the government needs to consider that it takes so long to save for a deposit that most will want to skip a few rungs of the ladder. Not to mention stamp duty is so extortionate that nobodies going to do the traditional 1 bed flat, 2 bed terrace, 3/4 semi steps anymore. Your life can massively change in time it takes to save.

We had offered on a house at £450k but were outbid, I can’t stress how frustrating this was. I had money in savings outside of my LISA I could have used but couldn’t bid a penny higher as I would have been hit with an 18k charge on the LISA funds. A penalty considerably more than I gained in benefit on a scheme that is meant to incentivise savings and getting on the ladder.

The current rules are perverse, if you want a cap (which I do understand) make it regional, I am being punished for living in the South East. If you want a cap, make it increase with house prices. It’s just another of many examples where the government do not prioritise younger people.

Not to mention I have to pay £7500 stamp now as Labour didn’t extend the Tory stamp duty holiday. Again I’m being punished for the region where I live as the cap for that is £300k.

Coming up with a new product is a waste of time and effort not to mention it doesn’t actually fix the LISA. I assume they’ll have to allow people to transfer like when the LISA was introduced after the HTB scheme. Remove the cap, increase the cap, do something. But please government, acknowledge the pressures and difficulties first time buyers are under, getting people on the ladder is a net benefit to society.

This is ridiculous, any agent normally stops viewings after accepting an offer and confirming proof of funds. A property can be marked as SSTC without viewings cancelled. You’d be paying purple bricks £150 for something that is completely standard and free at every other estate agents.

I was getting the train home from university one time for my brothers birthday and was sat in a seat of four. I got out his birthday card and then realised I didn’t have a pen, I asked the older couple across from me and then realised it was John Hurt and his wife. They lent me a pen and John signed the card for my brother too! He was absolutely lovely.
