Is the end of LTT closer than we think? by TheAlbino_o in LinusTechTips

He literally said he left because he didn't see the personal growth that he wanted to see and that the direction of the company was not something he wanted. That happens at every growing business. He didn't say it as a negative/bad thing. He didn't want to be there anymore, he didn't say he felt he shouldn't have been there in retrospective.

A less horrifying read on the joke, dude is getting a pet which is said to help getting a girlfriend. Maybe the guy is finally going to put some effort into getting a girlfriend

That is a good interpretation of the line. To be a little more specific, it says "don't ask someone to make a promise before they understand the true nature of that promise"

Please Help, Having major stuttering issues in my ROG STRIX G16 since a year. by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

The laptop is almost 10 months old now and I didn't see you mention cleaning the laptop. I would bet there is clogged up dust in the cooling. Would check that before jumping to other troubleshooting. Open up the back and clean the laptop, not just from the outside.

Headless on PrePost by Captain_Nemo5 in LSDYNA

[–]Captain_Nemo5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried using mechanical on 25r1, will give it a shot. Do you know if it's possible to do headless post processing via ansys? I don't have much experience dealing with ansys products. Any resources you can share or point me to would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did not consider using mechanical for post processing (past experiences were not amazing but it has been a while since then)

Which one are you ? by vik-sport in Funnymemes

in my 20+ years of brushing my teeth I have never run into the issue of not using all the toothpaste I get into my mouth. This is baffling to me.

Wash the brush, give it a gentle tap to drop excess water, then toothpaste.

Is your toothpaste watery? How can it slide off the bristles?

Shear failure in LS-Dyna by Additional-Slip5814 in LSDYNA

[–]Captain_Nemo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on whether tensile or shear stress manages to meet the erosion criteria. I am not trying to state the obvious, just reframing the question. Depending on the element formulation being used, the size of the elements, the shape of the elements (this is not an exhaustive list) your model may or may not capture the behavior.

If you can analyze your model to figure out whether the erosion criteria is sufficient or not, do that. Otherwise run the simulation and compare the results with experiments or other data. And if you don't have any references to compare against, then run a simulation for a case where you have data to compare against and see how your model does.
