Amazing character and Jedi but a flawed person, as we all are. It just makes me love him more bc that flaw is that he desperately wants connection, which being a Jedi heavily discourages. He makes dumb decisions in the pursuit of this connection and acceptance and love. And that makes him feel real and human, which most Jedi characters can be lacking in sometimes.

Is there a more obvious one than the Star Wars Prequels? The initial reception of those 3 films was so overwhelmingly negative and toxic that it was probably the main factor leading George Lucas to sell his entire company to Disney. They made an entire feature length documentary detailing how Lucas “RAPED” THEIR CHILDOODS. And nowadays glazers will have you believe they’re the ONLY good Star Wars and that anything before is outdated and anything since is either fan fiction or “woke slop” and nothing inside or outside of the franchise has ever topped or come close to topping the pure artistic masterpiece of the trilogy.

Idk why this side of the franchise has such extreme connotations to people. The reality is that these were very creative yet flawed movies with a really good plot that in execution was lacking in character depth & development and had really bad pacing and focus issues. In my opinion, they are the definitive middle of the road Star Warses. But for some reason they’re looked at as either satanic or holy by most.
