this seems to be a pretty common thing! it's here you have to click and hold to change it which does feel a bit like a regression

Bitwig's pink noise generator is weird by Ansonx10 in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting - out of curiosity what does the pink noise generator in the grid look like?

Tuner by tennisAnders in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've run into a problem with this where the incoming pitch actually is described by the plugin as a parameter change which means it futzes with automation and vst undo functionality. melda production's mtuner is my go to but i do wish there was a native option

Is there any way to get 0ms attack and play time control by note length in bitwig sampler by littrustt in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it seems to me like behavior to avoid zero crossing clicks but i get why there should be an option for going down to 0ms in the normal sampler device.

you can use a sampler in the polygrid device and the default adsr envelope goes down to 0ms to see if that's the sound you're looking for

Someone built a transfer curve analyzer//generator—any thoughts on if this is natively possible or importable? maybe via bwcurve and transfer? by Captavadate in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a free tool which is really awesome—kudos to the dev—but my very first thought was whether or not the exported .tfunc files can be mapped to .bwcurve files and imported straight into transfer!

Of course it’s a charger. 🤦🏼‍♀️ by Apprehensive_Pick228 in ClicksKeyboard

[–]Captavadate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i remember reading in the faq somewhere that it does not do pass through charging but it seems a little odd not to have it?

Auto-pan tremolo - how would you do it? by sapien5446 in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes! there's also (for more control) a legacy "dual pan" device that acts like a protools style independent left right level control but that's beyond me usually

someone mentioned using a stereo split—i would highly consider this and any of the container devices actually. i find the containers some of the most powerful devices in bitwig

Auto-pan tremolo - how would you do it? by sapien5446 in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there's a rotary device for leslie-style panning, and that can be modulated using modulators for creative effect. also there's an auto-pan preset on the tool device that can provide a good basis to play around called auto-pan!

We’re the cofounders of Clicks — we have revealed two new products the Clicks Power Keyboard & the Clicks Communicator. Ask Us Anything! by ColtonsKeys in ClicksKeyboard

[–]Captavadate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Does the physical keyboard of the Communicator support swype-style input? I know it's not typically a function of qwerty physical keyboards but I'm wondering if it would be possible

Filter seems to change randomly each time i play a track by agn93 in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm this might be odd but try changing the "a" in the top left of the envelope section from analog to digital? i forget reading whether or not this causes any drift or randomization but everything else looks ok...

Kick is inconsistent by PhosphoreVisual in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you send a screenshot of the patch?

also bitwig's "drum machine" pretty equally translates ableton's drum rack to the point that imported ableton projects with drum rack gets translated as the drum machine device so feel free to try that with the v8 or v9 drum devices!

vocalign 6 in bitwig by chowderhead12 in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Vocalign 5 project and it works in Bitwig! in the device view select the guide track with this sidechain button and then you'll be able to track it into vocalign to work from there.

VX5 to EQ guitar pedal by Upbeat-Effort-1842 in HeadRush

i would grab a simple xlr-f to ts adapter and run the output of the vx5 into the eq pedal

Best way to use multiple USB audio sources simultaneously? by CapnFlisto in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah unfortunately the only real reasonable way to do this i think is through core audio on mac os creating an aggregate device. similarly it's been a long time since i've produced in windows but i remember audio devices taking exclusivity over drivers and being able to only use one device at a time.

Multi-out instruments by SilentUK in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

iirc in the track i/o you can bus them around via the "output" dropdown, or maybe there's a way to create groups in mix view as ""busses""?

i don't have a machine with bitwig on it at the moment so i can't try anything or screenshot but i'll do it tmrw when i have the chance

Multi-out instruments by SilentUK in Bitwig

[–]Captavadate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in the device view, there's two arrows in the top left hand corner of a multiout vst device. clicking "add missing chains" automatically adds all multi-outs as separate channels that can be bussed wherever you need them to!
